What do you wear to a Gap interview?

My roommate has landed him self an interview at the gap and he was curious as to what to wear. He doesn't want to wear a suit as its not that kind of job, however I always thought you wear the stores clothing to a clothing store interview.

So, what would you wear?

Failing that, something else that's trendy.

Still wear a suit. Regardless of what the job is for you want to come across as professional.

The shops latest clothes collection? If he doesn't want to wear a suit, he should buy the smartest clothes they currently sell and wear those.

BTW whilst hes there, get him to ask about the allegations of GAP using child labour in India

Normal clothes - jeans and a tshirt sort of thing. I worked in GAP a few years ago, and it was quite a casual interview, in fact I was just asked to hang around for it when I handed in my cv.

If he doesn't want to/hasn't got a suit, tell to dress as smart as possible instead. Maybe shoes, dark jeans, nice casual shirt.
