yep, well worth it for the MP side of things.
Getting back into MP after getting so fed up with the problems in CoD2.
Slowly working my way up the ranks.
S&D is so much better in CoD4, plus the perks are great, got my first martydom last night.
 
Ranks are stored locally so you have seperate ranking for ranked and nonranked servers.

Edit: I guess I didn't answer your question. It's stored in groups, I think there are actually three different sets of ranking (ranked, nonranked and warfare or something similar) but they're global across all similar server types.
So your ranked server rank will be the same across all ranked servers.
Your nonranked server rank will be the same across all nonranked servers. etc.

At least that's how I've read it.

I have the NV panel set to "Let the 3D application decide", then in game I have 4xAA, 16xAF (the bar full), all the graphics options maxed out apart from corpses which set to medium, v-sync set to 'no', manual textures selected, all set to 'extra', also I have selected 'yes' to using dual video cards even though I'm using only one, this seems to net me a few extra frames, this trick also worked in COD2.


Resolution : 1920x1200

NV Drivers : 163.76

Cheers mate, ive done the same bar the dual video thing but i'l change that tonight. I can still spot a few jaggies though.

Does this mean it's possible to haxxor your rank potentially :(

That would be rubbish for the game :(

Set it to 2 cards and it has made a deffo difference.

From what I've read, if you try to alter the file in any way, your rank resets itself. I'm sure someone will figure out a way to do it though.

Not that it really matters too much. It doesn't take long to rank up. I've only played a couple hours so far and I'm already at level 20 or so.

How do you define a good game then, im only about half hour into this but i think it would have benafitted from being a little slower paced. COD4 graphics and physics but with a Rainbow 6 (not the newer version) tempo. Its very easy to just run about like a headless chicken shotting at anything, then again ive probably just described the multiplayer.:D
 
While i love this game (have it on the PC and the 360) the PC version needs a better server browser.

I want to play on hardcore servers but find them is not easy.

Oh for the days of a working All Seeing Eye.

Yeah there's no filter or anything for Hardcore mode servers :(.
