annoying flatmates

I have never known such a useless, lazy, and absolutely lacking in common sense (any sense, infact) group of girls as this lot.

Were they at least hot to make up for it?

I lived with 3 girls in my 3rd year (there was another guy but he moved out after christmas, and was never much around before hand anyway). The girls are fine, sensible, caring, quiet and i love them.

Live with all guys in the 2nd year, that was a BLAST, fun except that one guy i mention earlier who is REALLY messy, and due to him i decided i had to move out in the 3rd year and thus end up with the girls (who are also friends from halls).

If you want to be individual (have your own mates without them, go places without them, watch different programs etc) than them it can be just as hard for a girl.

In my own experince, the major differnce between living with just girls or just guys is this...

If you live with (example) 4 guys, then you live with 4 housemates.

If you live with 4 girls, then you live with 4 girls plus whoever they are 'seeing' at the time. IE, come home to find random guys in your bathroom/kitch etc. May sound harsh, but that has been consistent in the times I have lived in all-girl houses.

Edit: You may argue that the same would work both ways, but in my own first-hand experience that is not the case.

Kind of the same as me, although I wish now I'd stayed put.

I live with 3 Girls, tis alright!

First halls were alright,

Second house had some arsey people but generally great (some of my best mates are from there)

And my current house is awesome, great girls, huge rooms (no box room for the unlucky one!) Sky TV, huge TV, 16MB Broadband!

This is truth.

I've lived with the same bunch of housemates for the last 18 months, and TBH they feel more like family then housemates. I've never known such a considerate, trusting, generous and fun group of people before and it's a really big shame that we'll part ways come summer (after we go away on holiday that is ;) )

Maybe I've been lucky, maybe it's a good judge of character but we really do have a unique house :)

Only a person with no experience of such a thing would say that. ;)

lol, it's almost like living with a house full of girlfriends without the sex. Where do I start.

1 - Since we didn't have a tumble dryer there will be underwear everywhere, radiators, railings on the stairs. You might think Victoria Secret, but in reality there are just as many Primark or M&S stuff as there are Ann Summers.

2 - The house was cleaned a lot, vacuumed, dusted. It does mean i have to do my part too.

3 - Leave the toilet seat down, this I wasn't fuzzy about.

4 - Find out when is time of the month ASAP and who is worst, and then plan your day accordingly...just in case.

5 - The days before the mobile (or the start), not everyone had a mobile and we had a house phone. One time one of the parent of the girls called, i shouted upstairs and she was in the loo answered back "I am coming !" Came downstairs in a towel, one leg covered in foam, left hand holding a razor, tripped over the phone cord, razor/towel/phone went flying...kodak moment..also the days before digital cameras lol

6 - Lots of cheesy music

7 - Bills are paid on time, as everyone was ultra responsible.

8 - Lots of wine around the house instead of beer.

9 - It also means a lot of hugs and kisses (cheek)

Year one of uni we lived in a shared house not halls and it was just the 4 of us which was nice apart from.....

The Chinaman (Vincent) who insisted on living on a completely different time scale to the rest of us (fish dinner wafting into your room at 4am :(). During his time awake he liked to spread his pubes every place in the house that you can imagine, toilet seat, bath, floors, cooker hob!, fridge and the cupboards the whole ******* lot. The man was an animal.

Does your room in halls get decided on what subjects you do? Because i doubt many girls will be doing computer based courses, and i'd like to share with all girls ;)

In my first year:
1 male, Business.
4 females: English (me), English and French, Politics & Fine Art.

Three of us were from Oxford area though :/

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people who genuinelly beleive Uni is about spending all your time having sex with your housemates, hence their desperation to get into an all girls house.

To be honest you've a far better chance of getting laid if you are in an all guys house, becuase nothing puts you in a girls 'friend' zone more than living in the same house.

A little I think, and it depends what you put on your application form i suppose. And also how your accommodation office does the placements. In my experience they do have someone else on the same course as you either in the same flat or even floor, if its a uni sex halls then they'll mix that into the equation.

That is actually my top reasons for wanting to go uni, the beer and the sex. Next on the list is the independence and finally the grades. Shame on my priorities :(

Well my house mates rock. Really good fun most of the time, living with 3 girls. Problem is I really, really like one of them which makes me think that it was a bad move moving in with her. Oh well, can't be helped now.

only 4 of us in block at uni currently cus the one girl caused the 2 here previously to leave.
one guy, real quite, doesnt speak much, keeps himself to himself
other guy, seems like your average guy really, likes going out etc
girl, eats sleep and lives stoned, i dont think she does much else to be far but shes sound person and friendly, but her habbits stick the place out a bit :D

seems alright, i keep myself to myself most of the time unless we are going somewhere or something so i quite like it really
