Xbox Originals Won't Have Achievements

They would have made a fortune if Halo had achievements. Im sure if there is enough hype, they will add achievements - we all know what Microsoft are like. They say one thing and do another...

More importantly why are people so bothered about Achievments? Play the game and stop worrying your little heads about Achievments and Gamerscore.
I think it's pathetic how people play/buy games they don't like just for the achievments, of course, that is just my opinion.

Why is it people think the only reason they don't add achievements is because they are lazy? Are you serious? Of course they would like to, but the games are not recompiled, they are emulated. Emulating Xbox 1 games is not easy, let alone trying to somehow hook achievements in. It would a brutal hack that wouldn't please people.

You miss the point completely.
These are just re-releases of games, that can probably be found cheaper in stores. Whats the point downloading the games exactly? If theres absolutely nothing new.
Achievements and Gamer score would give the game another level. But instead it's just the same thing, Being re hatched.
I won't be downloading it. Unless when the time comes closer they implement achievements. No loss to them ofcourse, But no loss to me either.

I don't see why some of you are getting moody about the lack of new features, many people will download original xbox games not just for new things but for the ease of playing off a hard disk and not having to go hunting on ebay/in second hand stores.
Another good point is that the original developers will be receiving their rightful payment for creating the game, instead of money just getting circulated around the second hand market.

If they'd put the achievements in, they'd have shot themselves in the foot because most 'fans' would have then turned round and said "O well if you've put that achievement in, couldn't you have fixed the bug with <insert excuse here>" or "ROFLCOPTERS, they'd added achievements but I can still do the game in 30 clicks because of the rocket launcher glitch"

PSP re releases are to allow a person to play the games travelling. So that's not really the same. Those are awesome.
Wii's VC Roms, Allow all Nintendo games to be played on 1 specific console. Instead of having many Nintendo consoles.
Xbox 360, Plays Xbox games. SO these games coming to the Marketplace, Most people will already have, And be able to play. Or they'll probably be able to pick up the game for next to nothing at stores. Without a game Like Halo sitting on their hard drive.
Anyways, people are allowed to disagree arent they. Just means i won't be one of the downloaders

Well i would say £3.50 for a game you probably cant get hold of anymore and one that you just play on your PSP also, is a bit different to paying £10 or so for a game you can pick up second hand in a high street shop though. There all in it for the money though, so you cant blame them for doing it I think its a good idea on Microsofts part its something both there other competitors have and is quite successful on the other systems.
The lack of acheivements doesn't bother me, it's the excuse that is annoying.
You have even said that they would like to have done it, but it would be too difficult. That's fine, but I wish they would just say that, rather than coming out with some nonsense about integrity.
The fact is they could have implemented more features like achievements to make them more appealing to and set them apart from 'just' being re-releases.
It's a huge missed opportunity IMO.
