True. I don't know if you saw the 1up show podcast over the weekend, but they were really peeved that the game ended without explaining a few things as far as the modern day storyline went. They thought it should have been included in this game rather than saved for the next. Anyway, I hope they get some form of patch out for all these bugs and glitches that have been reported.
You may well have a bird of the skies. But your Xbox360 will still fail at some point. Am I not right in saying that there is no definitive Xbox360 SKU capable of resiting the 3RROD? The Falcon chip may well output less heat and require less voltage, but I still would not be surprised if it failed at some point during your posession of said console.
Well, I'm 12 hours in now, and the only thing I'd change is a way to skip dialogue!
Having to sit through the same speech every time you save someone... argh... I went a whole five hours without saving anyone because of it (in the interest of completeness, I gave in and started doing them again).

Yet mine is a launch day one and still running fine without a single issue so far. I've got to the point where I am waiting for it to die so I can fix the thing myself.
I've had a good amount of time to play the game today and have to say that it is top dogs. The sheer scale of the cities and the riding bits in between is just sodding huge. The detail within the cities is really well recreated so most places don't look rather bland until you hit the rooftops and see those weird tent things everywhere, in which you can hide in. No crashes or freezes yet.
Combat is enjoyable if a bit easy, luckily you can dispatch foes in many ways. Push them off rooftops if you're bored! I've not had any dodgy AI glitches yet from the guards although they're a bit dim at times, but Templar knights are clever goits - one pushed me into a nearby river
I'm surprised the game got some of the lower ratings from review sites. I'll be reviewing it tomorrow and giving it a solid 9/10. Very nice visuals, huge open cities, great animation, flexible gameplay techniques with some repetitiveness I do agree but at least the missions are varied in different surroundings.
I do hate those nutters who insist on pushing you about though. Killed loads of them.

My best move was when you have to kill Snoop-Dogg ala Talel (sp?).
He was running through the crowd pushing them into me, so I took to the rooftops spiderman style, and then did a huge jump off a roof to try and reach the next one... I had X held down at this point and imagine my surprise when I landed on him with my hidden blade in this throat. It looked awesome

Just assassinated some guy in his fort, which became locked down the second he hit the dirt.
Had to fight and run through dozens of soldiers to get out of there. Awesome.

Hmm oh dear. I'm just hoping then that there isn't an achievement linked to 100% memory as I've missed an investigation on the first block.
I think there is achievements for completing all the "Free Missions" which is the investigations no?

Picked this up yesterday and im loving it! Shame about IGN giving it 6.5 though :s A holes!!

so was the hype worth it? is this game really worth spending £33 on? im considering buying it..
being only a one player game i'm in no rush to get it. going to wait until it's cheaper
Games seem to drop in price very quickly, have seen Halo 3 2nd hand for around £20 already !
hmmm yeh. ive recently been put off impulse buys after getting stuntman... so im making sure its wirth getting it before taking the plunge!
