Do you think too much?

I otherthink most situations, its a problem with commitment, I dont have enough stability, so I fear being nailed down to a situation that I cant be certain I will see through.

Prime example:

Should I buy a q6600 or wait for penryn, been mulling this one over for about 3 weeks :)

Yes I do! In the week though when I'm working and coming in knackered I go to bed and sleep. At the weekend I think a lot mainly of what-if's - don't get me wrong I'm in a very good position and enjoy life immensly it's just one of those things in life I get.

Trust me, I think way too much when Im just about to fall asleep - does my nut...I JUST WANA GO BED!!! lol

And BruceLee, I agree with what you said there :)

Once is a day is normal surely?

You think? I tend not to bother checking more than about once a week unless I've just paid a bill or similar and need to make sure it has gone. I've got a rough idea of how much money is in my bank at any one time and a rough idea of how much I'm spending but that is generally it.

I do find myself daydreaming a bit at present because my current job doesn't really occupy me too much, there are things to do but none actually requiring much brainpower which leaves me free to think about other things.

True. But i'm a poor student, and always using my card to pay for stuff, i'd rather know I have the funds to cover it :p

I'm guilty but you have to learn to control it. I see people posting above saying that it means your not busy enough or you should be doing more to occupy your mind.

Being busy will keep your mind off things but only while your busy. So once you settle down to sleep the thoughts will come back meaning your just masking the problem while your active but not actually resolving the problem. I know a few people who have gone down this path and they find it almost imposible to just sit and relax, they end up making me jittery just watching them.

May I strongly reccomend a book called "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle is you want to learn to let go of these thoughts and overcome your unhelpful mind.

I hate sleep for this very reason, all the things you don't want to think about during the day suddenly come up when you are trying to get some sleep. It takes me on average about 2 hours to get to sleep which causes me severe sleep deprevation problems if I have to get up early the next morning.

Go to bed 2 hours earlier ;)

Yes I do. Always think too much... its good to think in the gym though... wastes the time away :)

I was talking to my boyf this morning about Christmas arrangements and he was like 'we had this discussion before right and agreed on the same thing!?'

Someone mentioned books, I would also recommend Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink" - it will make you think...better!

Yes, far, far too much. It usually takes me at least an hour to get to sleep. Lets of contemplating, wondering and day dreaming. Sometimes I really feel like I'm wishing my life away :(
