i suppose for the 3 secs of thunder we tend to get here in the uk at any one time it cost cost me a couple of hundred for a new pc

Bugger, I was out down at BW all night, I enjoy a good storm.

However, it has been raining constantly all night, and heavy too. Roads are completely deluged.

slept through it, woke up, rents told me it was insanely loud and our fairly new kittens(few months old) were apparently very very frightened, running around the house trying to get away from the noise. woulda thought it would wake me up

My father has a villa in Haute-Savoie in Alpine France. Their summer storms are something to behold.

Alas, I heard nothing in East London.

I was suprised. a single thunder out of blue. It's rare that London gets thunder storm especailly at this time of the year

That was the craziest thunder I have ever heard, it lasted for around 20 seconds, and I thought someone had taken a picture in my living room the flash was so bright!

You dont live above the subway do you with a ground floor bedroom?
You could have heard the train passing plus a 'peeping tom' could have been taking pictures.......

Heard nothing in SE London, but then again thunder is not that rare when the weather's like this so I tend to not notice it - besides double glazing and music tends to drown a lot of the sound out.
