Guitar Hero 3

Pre-order cancelled, gonna trek to "competitor" on the day and reduce "dodgy guitar" risk.

Same, i tried pre-ordering it in town, but everywhere reckoned "there will be loads of stock bruv, its a big game".

They'd best be correct! Anyone know of any high streets definitely selling the guitar just on its own? (need some 2P action!).

Going to get mine from the big high street store, any problems I'll just return the guitar. Getting a nice 25% staff discount too ;)

So if you order online with the high st store you don't have the same rights to return the guitar if faulty ??
If this is the case I will cancel my pre-order..

You do, but it's a much bigger hassle to deal with online customer support compared to waving a broken product at a goon in a real store.

I don't get it. Why's everyone fussing over the guitars? Is every guitar faulty? I will "take my chances" with a nice cheap online order. Should the guitar have a problem then I will send it back and use my explorer.

Because I don't want to see a repeat of what happened when GH2 released and a lot of guitars had dodgy whammy bars, this was actually fixed by a patch but it took ages for the patch to appear. It was down to a calibration issue.

Now we're seeing lots of reports of problems with the new guitars, it's just easier to take it back to a high street shop than having to post it off, usually at a cost then waiting while you get a replacement shipped out.

Just hassle that is not required when one is wanting to ROCK! :D

The guitars are not for sale seperatly yet, surely you don't think they are going to open a retail pack and just give you a new guitar?
They are going to send it away for a replacement, same thing as if you bought it online.
I maybe wrong but i don't think so.

They'll just swap the whole package.

As with anything, they'll just swap the entire thing out, bundled game and all.

You're wrong.

No he's right. Kinda!

The 360 Wireless Guitar isn't available on it's own until 2008 so they won't be able to give you a fresh guitar. Unless you return the whole package in which case they can swap it for another. Which is what will happen.

Fair enough, care to expand on which part of they will not give you a replacement guitar in shop is wrong.
PS: I hope your right Windle :) But i can see them passing the buck and sending it away for replacement.

They can't do that. Know your rights.
