Dedicated Server.??

Anyone know if theyre going to release a dedicated server pack like they did for UT2K4 v3369.?

Be interested to know how well it runs on my server.
 
Scrap my last post ive just found the download for the windows dedicated server.

1.4GB 2 hours to go :( horrible aussie hosting.

My CE is in packing but I cant have it until Christmas day :mad: as it's a present from the wife...it was either that or Crysis, and I wanted the better game as my pressie [yes I still enjoy that childlike excitement of getting my gifts of Xmas morning :o]

So I will be looking on with jealousy over the next few weeks as you lot have fun, so post some good screenies.

I picked mine up yesterday from BestBuy ( I live in Florida and it was released here Tuesday) and I have to say I'm rather disappointed by the single player aspect at least.

In previous UT's, they made no excuse as to what it was, the intro sequence leads you into believing there's a story driven "campaign" but in fact it's simply a cinematic intended to be a cheesy cover/explanation for "respawners" that have changed the war. The single player game is much as previous UT's were, you vs another team or person in the same maps that you play MP too.

I don't mind the deathmatch modes, in fact I love the vehicles and the other MP modes too but I felt kind of let down by what they were touting as a "single player campaign".

Graphically I see no differences from the demo, it plays well, fantastic online I must say, I can post up screenies if you want them and performance is awesome (2560x1600 highest options @ 60fps).
 
Can someone who has the game confirm that there is some good instagib CTF servers on allready? This is all I need to hear to buy the game :D.

Don't wanna take this too OT, but the weapon balancing in Q3A was perfect. If you thought the MG and GL were useles then you weren't using them correctly. The Q3A BFG was a bit silly tho, granted.
 
Has this got starforce protection? as ive just finised installing it and its asked me to restart my computer, smells a bit like starforce to me which im not a fan of :confused:

I haven't heard of starforce protection being on UT3's disk, restarting computer after install is normal...:D Looking forward to any screen shots..;) Fingers crossed my copys been delivered, will find out when I finish work tonight...:D
