Was going to say, you got me into Yndi iirc.
yeah, I seem to remember a recommendation thread a while ago. I've still yet to see them live, but that piece is totally phenomenal. They truly are masters of the monumental buildup!
Was going to say, you got me into Yndi iirc.
Probably Moonlight by Mono for me, post-rock masterpiece.

I always thought that was one of their weaker ones - having said that, guess what I'm going to be listening to all day?! damn you!!
Moby - God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters, sublime![]()
Brilliant song, I only heard it after seeing them in Sheffield last week! Love that album![]()
MmmmPossibly Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini, by Rachmaninov.

I love this tune. Wistful, yet sad. Really nice. I have an album of these guys - got into them ever since seeing 'Ghostdances' by Ballet Rambert, which used their music brilliantly.
have you heard 'One More Step and You Die'? that's my favourite album of theirs
Stridently - nay, rampantly - off-topic, but I was there, and having never heard Mono before, I was very pleasantly surprised. Seeing as I would never hear Godspeed! You!Black!Emperor! [delete as applicable] play Yanqui UXO live, I was delighted to experience Mono performing something near-identical. Admittedly, I left early - but only because Mono didn't know when to stop. Note to the band: jaw-dropping, grin-inducing apocalyptic endings should be kept until the very end of the set, okay?Brilliant song, I only heard it after seeing them in Sheffield last week!
