STIG apparently stands for: Student Till I Graduate so that makes sense.

One of the few to tame the Saab turbo too. It was the quattro that killed that off as developing a 4wd was well out of the Saab CD's budget :(
 
There are many Stigs, Ben Collins seems to do many of the current tests, and Perry McCarthy was the original Stig but there have been plenty of other drivers working under the same banner. The whole point of the Stig is to try and create an image of one person producing all the times when in fact it simply means they can use anyone they want and will not be held up filming something if said Stig is off racing somewhere....

I'm not saying he is not The Stig, in fact I can't see anything about him physically that would mean he is not. He looks to me to have the same build, height and neck colour, so he probably is.

In the HSE report Ben Collins was listed as the guy who provides the driver training to both the crew and celebrities, plus carries out performance testing of the vehicles. Also gets involved in some of the normal filming when JC runs out of talent and cannot get the car sideways enough for the camera.
 
Chuck Norris is the Stig. He doesn't drive around the tracks, he stays still whilst the earth moves beneath him.

people here saying ben collins CV isnt that good, or he isnt that good of a driver, well.... hes damn site better than anyone on this forum :)

Exactly!

Looking at his CV he must be a pretty good Driver so i dont see how people think hes crap.
 
I dont quite think you guys understand.

Normally, I'm not a very good driver. But with keyboard in hand, I become much better than that Collins n00b
