Whats the advantages of having the mother breastfeed over bottlefeed the baby?
Ha classic Fox post![]()
Although this is true, I think a lot of woman get quite upset when babies start rejecting the breast and I think's dealing with this where the likes of Jodie can help. The mid-wifes do put a lot of preasure on mothers to breast feed. Probebely too much as it's not for everyone.
My sister just had her first baby not so long ago and she got in a real mess. The stress of not breastfeeding started to take its toll on both mother and baby. It's not like there's a gauge to see how much the baby has taken..
After 8 weeks she went to the bottle (not the alcohol type) and both are much happier. However, a little help wouldn't have gone a miss from some counselling so I say it's a good thing..
Well done Jodie.
Sounds like she had a tough time of it
baby more intelligent, baby less chance of getting illnesses such as stomach illness and sickness, emotional benefits of knowing you've fed the baby yourself, baby gets immunity against illnesses from the mother plus lots of others.
There are lots for both mother and baby, less chance of the mother getting breastcancer, baby more intelligent, baby less chance of getting illnesses such as stomach illness and sickness, emotional benefits of knowing you've fed the baby yourself, baby gets immunity against illnesses from the mother plus lots of others.
that was in some cases, not all.

It's obviously a given that Jodie did not state that all babies will be more intelligent if breast fed.that was in some cases, not all. would be interesting to see the full extent of the report though, no doubt it was an average over x babies.
wonder if the tests took into account the iq of the parents or compared the rest of the babies lives prior to the test.

Being experienced in this matter x 4, I can assure those of you who have no experience that you get more feeding instructions when you leave Pets at Home with a new hamster, than you do when you leave hospitalwith a new baby.
Well done in passing your course. I am sure that there are many ladies who will benefit from your ministerings.

There are lots for both mother and baby.. baby more intelligent..
The test did take into acount socio-economic status so it wasn't just about inherited genes, the difference was seen through all spectrums of society and not just the expected "middle-class" etc ones.
