if it took longer to rank people would be moaning that everyone has a better gun than them...im 55 and ive played it a bit but been trying to get the challenges more than rank up, they are more interesting.

So yeah I see where you're coming from, we realy are "sad" and spending "30+ hours to waste on a game in the space of a few days". No idea where you got few days from, the game's been out two weeks.

Does it mean that paticular person is not following the exact human stereotype? So, you're saying we should all be exactly the same, and follow the same routine every day, right?

How do you infer that? The point is, as someone commented earlier, the ranking system was devised for people with lives, not for the minority of losers who haven't put the game down since day 1 of release. So bear this in mind IF you are about to complain that ranks are too 'easy' to achieve.

I would simply love to be you - that is all.

At least you have ambition!

I've been playing for about 3 hours and at level 15 I think, I was at 20 with 8 hours game time but formatted nad forgot to backup my profile which gutted me at the time!!!

nero120 - let it go pal people can play for how ever long they want. Telling them its a waste of their time is completely pointless and will only cause arguing.

People play games.
People read.
People watch T.V.
People go to the pub.
People train spot.

People do all kinds of strange stuff and at the end of the day who are you to say its right or wrong?

No worries, I really don't care how people spend their time, if they want to live their lives in a game then as long as it doesn't affect me they can do what they like.

My issue, and the reason why I posted here in the first place, is that people were criticising the game because the ranks are too easy to achieve, and that frankly is absurd. The reason why I used harsh tones is to emphasize the fact that 'hardcore' gamers who have been playing this game for all hours since day 1 were not the target audience, and for the vast majority the rank system is perfectly balanced.

Also, if they'd spent some time reading up they would realise that the prestige ranks occur 10 times (thats 10 times through the whole rank system), and I seriously doubt anyone has done prestige level 10 within 2 weeks of the game being released!

The rank system is all wrong, it should be more like Halo, whereby you need to achieve a certain skill level to progress not just accumulate points. Eventually every man and his chimp will be level 55, then what's the point in having ranks?

55 here, did you know that you get other golden guns, like a golden AKS74 and a golden PKM. You have to complete all of the challenges for Assault/SMG/LMG etc for them.

Its gold Ak47, Gold Uzi and Gold M60 on the 360, plus you get a gold DE pistol for hitting 55.

Im not bothering with reranking on the 360 casue i really dont see the point.
Lose all my guns and redo all the challenges no thxs.

As for the PC im rank 24 i think but havent got allot of playtime because most of my mates are on the 360 version these days.

PC version also suffers from too many players on the some maps,

PC version doesn't have prestige mode unfourtantly.

You just wasted one minute posting in a GAMING forum, OMG, think about it long and hard, was that a waste of your life? I think so!

Theres a difference between playing a game for an hour or 2 a day, and playing solidly all night.....people that are on 55 already have obviously been spending far too much time on it

How is that? I've had the game for over 2 weeks, I've played 20 hours and I'm rank 55, that's less than an hour and a half a night...

TBH you've got a great point. When I think what I could have achieved if I substituted all the time I've spent playing video games with something worthy, I feel like a total loser!

no, he really doesnt have a point tbh. its just being rude, and flamebaiting

he says this, and he has over 5000 posts on an internet hardware forum...

people can do what they want, whether that be play games, build computers, or create band myspace pages....

sorry to knock this more off topic. but if hes allowed to enter a thread about playing a game and say blatent crap like that, i and many others should be able to tell him where to go tbh.

Could have fooled me. If you prefer skydiving or doing hardcore drugs in your spare time you are welcome to live your life that way. How someone with over 5,000 posts on a forum can have the cheek to suggest people who spend an hour or two a night playing games ' exist for the sake of it ' and telling them to ' get out and see the real world ' is rather disturbing. People do what they enjoy, who are you to tell them how to live their lives ?

Around level 34 after two weeks casual play, getting abit bored of the grenade spam.
