Feels liike I have been stiffed (Retail) - Advice needed

I'm guessing it was somehow unsuitable for the forums.

Would kill to hear in what way it was unsuitable.

I'm guessing because it had a word in it which was similar to denis.

Ridiculous though, considering there is a post elsewhere about the "My penis is a mountain" song during England Croatia game!

I think that if you use a Barclaycard Visa, they price match up to 60 days after the sale has completed through barclaycard.

This, of course, entirely depends on whether you used a Barclaycard Visa, unless other companies also provide this service.

Just say the assistant told you it was 1080p (or whatever) and he has given you the wrong info and you only realized when you got home and now you don't want it anymore and your not happy ;)

I think lying you were missold the TV or breaking it on purpose is extremely immoral. Accept you have made a mistake, should have checked the specs more carefully and not rushed into the purchase by checking the price online and move on. The fact that you can't afford to loose £250 should hammer it home even harder. Why should the retailer have to loose out because of your mistake?

Sorry to sound harsh, but some of the comments in this thread are unbeliveable.

Not sure if this is the "fraudulent activity" that Rotty warned about but I'd take it back saying I had been fed some rubbish by the sales rep and got the wrong model.

Then again I have no love of these kind of shops and have no qualms in doing this and kicking up a stink if they don't budge.

Awww, because these big high street chains don't go out their way to rip us, the customer off. My heart bleeds for them.

Good point that is an option :)

But yes agreed with LordSplodge the amount these companies rip us off is unbelievable ... they make so much profit its sick!

You have more rights buying on the internet than in shops in this country, the distance selling act allows you to return anything for any reason.

Pathetic

So, that kind of justification means it would acceptable to steal from them? Afterall, they would have to sell the TV at a loss because the product would be used.....

Just return it stating that the digital tuner won't work correctly. Say it keeps losing the signal yet your other receivers don't experience any problem at all. If they get shirty, point out that you've tried it in three or four different houses and still it won't receive the digital signal.

Worked a treat for me.
