*****THE OFFICIAL***** MASS EFFECT THREAD

QUESTION:

How do I get back onto my ship when I'm in say Market or that Den.. I got no idea :(

also, how do I change my party?

This game is very impressive, i could sit and play it for days straight, i keep wondering "what if i had chosen to say that instead of that, or that instead of that, would things have turned out different in the story" i guess its somethign that makes it very re playable.

top game

Go to the docks through the lift in C-Sec, although it sounds like you're not far enough in to the story yet to get your ship. If you were you'd know where to go.

The only time you can choose party members is when you're leaving the ship.

I'm about eight hours in to my first 'proper' campaign, and only visited one world so far. Trouble is I think Noveria may have been the wrong way to go. I've got a very nasty encounter in front of me and I'm suspecting I'm too weak to handle her. :(

Expansions will be interesting. No way will it be a downloadable thing via the marketplace. However I can see things like armour/weaps and maybe side missions added to the game as those don't require cinematics. Most side missions aren't exactly detail heavy and use a lot of repetitive elements too.

Have you lot seen the voice over cast of Mass Effect? I recognised Seth Green's voice right away, but surprisingly didn't realise Keith David was in this too.

What about Marina Sirtis, who plays the ever irritating Deanna Troi from Star Trek: TNG. My trigger finger started getting itchy the moment I discovered which character she was doing the voice for. :D

I've been playing about 10 hours now.

I have two complaints so far.

1. Sometimes your squad members are just ridiculously stupid, just standing there doing absolutely nothing whilst being shot, usually resulting in their death.

2. During conversation, sometimes when selecting a response it's not clear in what context that response will be used. For example there's one part where you can respond with "You didn't help them?". When I selected this I thought it would merely inquire as to why they didn't help them, but instead it was all "YOU DIDN'T HELP THEM? DISGRACEFUL. YOU'RE PATHETIC".

Yeah, I can see where you are comming from, but in the the manual its explains about the actual structure of the answer "dial" at the bottom..

it says answers on the right of the dial are there to draw the convo to a close, and those to the left, are there to explore the convo deeper. The answers on the top half are "good" paragon answers and ones at the bottom lean towards renegade/intimidation

Just finished it. After a good start, if I'm honest it just got a bit boring exploring worlds with buildings that all had the same layout, same enemies etc. I am ever so slightly let down by the length of the main story line. I might give it another play through, but tempted to stick it on the MM. I didn't enjoy it as much as KOTOR.

I'm just over 13 hours in and barely even touched the main quests. Suspect everyone who's finished it in 15 hours has missed so much.

Over 18 hours here. Think im on the 3rd main quest or so and done about 14 side quests with at least 10 more to do. Not feeling too good at the mo so off work and this keeps me more than entertained. :D

I blitzed it over the weekend in between work. Clocked up 26 hours, and it was dragging then, I just didn't want to play it anymore, it was a grind. The Main story is excellent though, everything else on the side is just boring as hell and seem like afterthought to me

It was a grind? You didn't want to play it any more? No ****...playing that ridiculous amount of hours no wonder. A bit OTT you think?..and a sure fire way to ruin any game.

Started a second playthrough. Its wicked as i can play as my previous character with all the abilities and levels! Absolutely blitzing through the game at level 42 on Eden Prime!
