Just finished off KARAS few days ago. Absolutely brilliant commerical OVA series. 6 Episodes. Going to share it with everyone at the animation studio :) and I recommend to all you anime lovers

Well, just finished watching KiddyGrade ... I thought that it was very good with all of its twist and turns such that I would have never of guessed at the beginning what the plot would be doing in the middle and end of the series :D

Had another little something come today ...

Wey-hey it's future Mikuru :D .... official picture as my camera work isn't great ...

I haven't tried to cable up the monitor, keyboard and mouse at the moment as I haven't the patience at the moment and the connections are tiny ...

Regarding the 2007 releases ... there's quite a few on my list of "if they get licensed then I want the DVDs list" (e.g. Ef, Sola, Clannad, Lucky Star, Genshiken 2, Kujibiki Unbalance ... ) ... you never know a couple may be eventually* :(

* Lucky Star has I believe.

Edit: ooo just read that theres a new series of Ah! My Goddess starting 08/12/07 in Japan ... you never know we may get it by 2010.

Finally got round to starting Ergo Proxy, thanks to Drake for reccomending it many moons ago, very cyberpunk, great plot (and it doesn't half dive into the deep end right from the very first episode!!), and lovely soundtrack - can't get enough of the end titles song! :)

Awsome anime, I loved the intro to it anime so much I spent months trying to find the full length version of it. Now have both the cd soundtracks to the series.

memyselfandi, those models look really nice :)
I hadn't heard about AMG, but hopefully we'll see it a bit sooner (iirc the reason we're getting season 2 late is because it's being timed to fit in right after S1 in the UK, rather than have the releases overlapping).

I've just finished Yugo the Negotiator which was surprisingly good, i'm not sure if I preferred the character designs in the first arc or the second (they changed the character designs/teams deliberately), although there was a very definate Misato look alike in the second arc.

I'm not sure what i'm going to be watching next, as i've almost completed my new anime DVD backlog (at least until I get rune soldier 1-3, and Ranma season 4 arrives).

It's the end-titles song that I liked. Which of the two soundtrack CDs is that one on? I don't even know what it's called but I was looking at buying it and I couldn't see it on the track list of the one I found.

Ergo Proxy? Haven't seen it but Wikipedia says that the the end theme is "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead ... if that's the case then I think its on their OK Computer album (you can stream a sample of the rainforest place to check)

I'm going to be in Central London with not much to do for several hours on Wednesday next week ... any suggestions of places I can go to get Anime/Manga related things in that area :)

Just got a delivery this morning with Basilisk, You're under arrest Vol 1, Please Teacher and Gantz perfect score box sets. Surprisingly though the Gantz set came in a big square box with the set in a fold out case inside a big black ball.

Watched Green Green this afternoon whilst upgrading my file server ... lots of fan service and seemed rather silly but got quite sad at the end.

I've been re-watching a few things over the last week e.g. Comic Party, Comic Party Revolutions, Please Teacher, MOHS, DearS and various others ... just for relaxation :)

Mezzo tomorrow whilst doing more upgrade work ... probably followed by rewatching Love Hina ....I'm on leave this week and am picking up another crate of R1 stuff on Friday :D

MEzzo? I have that somewhere in the depths of my network. If memory serves me thats just a poor excuse for a hentai OVA?

iirc it's possibly a bit adult in places but i don't think it's close to a hentai :)

I'm probably going to make a start on Ranma ½ tonight or tommorow, as i'm practically out of new anime dvd's and haven't watched any for a few days (Mario Galaxy and Dawsons Creek have been taking up my TV;))

To clarify, Mezzo Forte (the origianl OVA) is supposed to be adult in places, how adult depends on which version of it you see ... I'm watching Mezzo DSA which is the series which follows that which is rather tamer ...

I know im very behind the times here but I just finished watching the TV series of Neon Genesis Evangelion and I have to say Im left felling very deflated confused and frustrated. Is it worth watching Death and Rebirth or End of Evangelion now as I understand them to be a rehashing of the last episodes but with extra bits?

Am I the only one to feel the last 3 epiosdes of the tv series are confusing and you end up with several completely unanswered questions? I would go into more details but dont want to post spoliers for anyone who hasent seen it yet.

The ending of the TV series was a puzzling and confusing, psycho-analytical, metaphorical battle inside Shinji's head.

The ending provided by the films was a slightly less puzzling but still a bit confusing, bloody, gruesome, slaughter-fest where the **** hits the fan and you can't believe that you just saw what you've just seen.

Short answer: TV ending sucks, Film ending is awesome.
