Eidos confirms Deus Ex 3!

Deus Ex 2 ran rubbish because Eidos had a deal with nVidia which meant the game would only run well on their latest line of graphics cards. Eventually someone in the community created a patch, which Eidos then released as their official patch. At least that is the rumour.

Deus Ex 1 was and is the greatest game ever created :)
Deus Ex 2 wasn't in any way a successor to me, as soon as i found out that it had lost most roleplaying features, that was it for me unfortunately.
Hopefully Deus Ex 3 will work out, i really can't wait :D

I'm hoping for a prequel, or something that happens alongside the original. Didn't really like the future world DX2 was set in, and going ahead even further than that would be problematic due to the way DX2 (might have) ended. I think it worked better having recognisable locations based on the real world.

As stated by everyone else...

Deus Ex 1 was a masterpiece, a true classic and a benchmark for anyone writing an RPG for the PC.

Deus Ex 2 was utter tripe. Dumbed down, console-ified (universal ammo? wtf?!), badly coded engine, and far too short.

Hopefully the developers know this, and will try to recapture the atmosphere of the original. But, with the game undoubtedly coming out on consoles also, I doubt it.

I bet it will be another crappy console port. The xbox market destroyed the deus x series.

Deus Ex 1 was amazing, quite literally THE BEST single player game ever.

Deus Ex 2 was amazing, one of the best console titles i've played in recent years.

I'll be happy if the third is more of the same, honest. I really liked number two :)

One word which sums up the whole problem - 'console'.

If they write DE3 as a PC game then port to console it could be great. If it's the other way round, it's likely to be rubbish.

I hate the way that we're forced to endure low brow console tripe on the PC.
