Very much so.
It isn't *that* pretty to look at - i've seen better. CoD4 is/was miles miles more fun to play.
It's a simple case of a company getting a good screw off the hardware manufacturers for making a game that's so overhyped yet badly coded that everyone rushes to upgrade.

I've been running task manager a lot while playing it and it does use all four cores at once, just not to 100% as it's the most gpu-limited game I've ever seen in my life. I don't think it's over-hyped either, it's brilliant.Quad core tweaked ,
Na.
I'm sorry but you're utterly incorrect. I love both games but Crysis' graphics are light-years ahead, then again I'm not playing it on a 7900GS at what is probably low/med settings. Blame your hardware, not the game.I agree, cod4 looks just as good
I swear some of you have only played the demo. Get out of the jungle for God's sake.crysis is just far cry 2
Great thread.![]()
I agree, cod4 looks just as good but runs happily on my old 7900GS on good settings!
crysis is just far cry 2
Another winner from Easy.
Also no IMO it wasn't overhyped, have you completed it Easy?, it's a great gaming experience and well worth it, just because you got ownedand it didn't utilize that quad as much as you would have hoped no need for sour grapes

Wrong, he's incorrect. Crysis looks miles better than COD4, and this is coming from someone who adores COD4 and has completed it twice now. To say that COD4 looks even remotely as good as Crysis is really just wrong unless you're playing Crysis on low/med settings, at which point it actually does look crap.He is not incorrect, its his opinion over yours.
How is there something wrong if the game is GPU limited? It's not written to be CPU-dependant at all, it's written to utilise CPUs, but it also just happens to have the most complex graphics engine to date with the highest resolution textures we've ever seen in a video game, period. If the Game is GPU limited then something is wrong as it was written to be CPU Dependant, and there is enough screens posted to show most dont get Dual or Quads using 1 core enough never ind the rest, I have no idea why some get 2/4 Cores loaded.
Oh, and please cite your source for this utter tripe.it was written to be CPU Dependant
If Cevat Yeril was a Politition and told you all the BS he did in every interview over the year, we would now be calling for his resignation.
The game does not look like it was to be, and it wont run on hardware he claimed it would.
lol
Its not Grapes.
Its a Great game.
Its not utilising my uber rig!
Only thing that does...is Video editing production work.
No gain from Multi core for the mainstream...Thats my point.
We all fell for it.
Yeah I think it was overhyped, it's basically far cry with a nanosuit, some of the later levels were interesting but very short, allot shorter then far cry.![]()
That's because most games out now are GPU-limited, the ultra-rare ones that actually support multithreading anyway. Supreme Commander would be the only real gaming test for quad cores at this time.I do NO video editing, but as predicted my C2D keeps up with all Quads clock for clock because frankly only a few support quad yet alone utilize it properly.
