Cancel Guitar Hero 3 and wait for Rockband?

I've just ordered Rock Band from the US for £98 delivered.

Stuff waiting, I know what I'll be doing Xmas day :D

They dont do anything different to the top ones, so it wont make any difference.
 
I think the bottom buttons allow you to just tap out the tune without having to strum, mainly for the really fast solo's, don't think they work with Guitar Hero though, so they do do something :p

edit: I should mention I've never actually played Guitar Hero with a guitar so maybe you can actually just tap on expert in that to I dunno :)

You're correct, the lower frets on the RB guitar are for solo's, you can, as you say, tap-on without strumming so they won't work in GH because it's not set up for that.

Edit: Actually it might be that the solo sections don't require strumming because thinking about it, i'm sure it was said you could use both the top and bottom frets together on solo's to rock out harder...

Well you can't import the 360 version anyway because it's region locked, I was considering importing this for the PS3 for Christmas but looking at gaming websites and message boards there seems to be a lot of problems with the guitar breaking so that ideas out the window.
 
damn forgot about region locked.

As for problems with guitars. I wouldn't give it a second thought. So far we have had that with every guitar peripheral. Just buy it and hope for the best

Yeah but if you import it then you've got no warranty so I don't really think it's worth it I'll just wait 2 months I think, though it would rock to have it on christmas day with everyone round :p
