The Saga of the Court Summons for PMKeates

Just tell us how fast THEY say you were going, or indeed what you were doing.

There is nothing to link you to an alleged offense.
They did not actually say I was doing anything, really.

They first accused me of evading them. I refuted this, and used the fact that when I saw them behind me I stopped, immediately. They repeatedly attempted to get me to "confess" to this, but I also repeatedly denied the accusation.

An officer questioned me in a very odd way. He asked things such as "If you were another road user, would you consider your driving to have been dangerous?". I intentionally replied very generically, as I suspected he wasn't questioned in this way for no reason. I answered in ways such as "Another road user may have considered my driving dangerous, but another may not have". Another office chipped in at this point, shouting "AND YOU DIDN'T!?". I advised him this was not the questioned I had been asked, and he didn't really say anything much more.

As said, I've no idea what they are saying I actually did.

As its a traffic car thats going to have video recording equipment and calibrated speed measurement, you must have been driving at speed for them to take several minutes to actually catch you and a ST220 isn't exactly slow. The fact they asked for your keys and were considering smashing the drivers window sounds like they mean business.

I would assume they have your speed recorded and your driving video'd, I recommend a good lawyer going by the times you have mentioned sitting at vmax for several minutes at a time.

You'd get careless driving just for managing to fail to notice the Police car pursuing you for several minutes. Added onto the fact that there'd be a reason why he felt the need to chase you, and that he was concerned enough that he was going to smash your window to stop you, I can understand why he just might have been wound up enough that he'd want you done for dangerous driving.

Sounds like they have no evidence and were trying to scare you into a confession.

Since their are two of them doesn't it rely on their judgement, which courts will nearly always accept?

Edit: If they have video evidence then you are probably screwed

yup.. thats what happened to the friend of mine the other week. the court believed every word despite the coppers not being there, not even to correct the huge inconsistencies either

Not just the tickets according to one of your other posts.

Sorry but that many incidents in just over 3 years of driving doesn't sound like you are learning from your mistakes.
Consider that entire post a total lie and exaggeration, used to intentionally infuriate forum goers. Up until this point in time, I had two accidents in my first three months of driving (3 years ago) and that is that.

if your doing over 100 its careless driving stright off itsnt it? (not able to be incontrol when at such a high speed), i think thats what happened to a friend of a friend doing 110 in a ceclia but he kept his liences dont remember what he got.

but if it just speeding and not driving like a mupett you might be able to get away with 5 or 6 points.

Right, you are not helping.
just tell us how fast or what it is you did.
If you have genuinely no idea what is they pulled you for the posts would be completely different.

the was a case on road wars or some such program biker doing 130 and went to court and said i was riding safe and with uprated high performance brakes etc and he got 6 point and 600£ fine and thats it.

as for the confession thing, thats what they did on the friend of mine too. i would have just clammed up too i think, they want to do you, make them work for their money

and dont post it up here. it wont be the first time someone has been mullered by a court for what they post on line

It's why I'm being quite careful. The OcUK detective squad will find me guilty of murder and treason if I post too much ;)

Similarly, I was sort of questioned on the capability of my car. Was I aware of what my tyres were like etc. I swear brakes came in to it too.

At the end, despite just advising me he more or less would see me banged up, he said I had a nice car

its scary how speeding can so easily be turned into dangerous driving around here and how dangerous driving can become 6 months inside.

was it the a13?

I believe they may have felt my speed over a distance inappropriate.

I think it would be prudent of me to not go in to detail.

To be honest, i hope this teaches you a lesson. As you regularly admit to driving into 3 figures for long periods of time on this very forum.

in short mate, its for them to prove, beyond reasonable doubt. so i hope you didnt say too much at the scene and i hope a criminal solicitor can give you more insight into the rules of disclosure (i only practice civil litigation so disclosure was very different)

expect the worst because the odds are very much stacked against anyone into cars no, especially around here

also you say it was afternoon, well every one know you save you late night speeding till the early hours of the mourning, 2,3,4 then u can get half way round the m25 in quick time. you were being silly!
