One to make all of you blokes wince........

My beloved OH had complications following his vasectomy last year and 'aubergine' is a very good description.

If you can get some, try adding a little tincture of calendula to your bath or water that you use to bathe the affected area. Try your local health shop.

Wish you better soon, it sounds really awful.

I think I can relate to the OP's pain, only I did it several times and liked it, too! However, if you really want to see something that will make you feel uncomfortable, there's a video from a fan of a well known body modification website, who is using a hatchet to test how it works against his privates :D

There's no way I am going to even suggest the name of the file, it's way too hardcore!

I have a huge collection of PC games, Crysis, GTR2, Battlefield 2, Flight Simulator(s) RPG's The list goes on & on...

I have 100's of DVD's to watch.....

100's of CD's to listen to.....

More MP3's than I could ever listen to.....

Can I find ANYTHING to take my mind off this?

NO!

The pain comes & goes, when it arrives, its unreal, really really bad, with that sick feeling you get when you clonk your gonads hard against something(!) rolled into the mix. (Girls, trust me on that one, its bad! :D)

It then goes away and I honestly find myself completely forgetting about it! :)

Then, Inevitably, I knock myself which ,quite literally, brings tears to my eyes! :o

I can't even go out for a sodding walk as I find that in itself difficult.

Can't drive (due to very strong painkillers that make you feel funny but not really numb the pain) - and as a result of not being able to drive, I cannot work. :(

I've Been off work 2 weeks already I'm already bored to the point of screaming (except thats reserved for the pain!) :o

I'd like to say "thats better now I've got it off my chest" alas, nope, no such luck. :(

A Pointless reply to my thread I suppose, but I can, at least say a sincere Thank you to all for the comments, they are very much appreciated. :)

If a Don could lock my pain as easily as they could now close this thread, I'd be eternally grateful!

Alas, even the great OC/UK Don's can't do that one.......

Edit: 04:05 AM, Been up since 08:30 and I can't sleep. Damn!

I had something similar in my early twenties. I had an infection and they decided to operate just in case. It was painful, but on the plus side I looked like linford christie for a couple of weeks.

Reading 'burst stitches in testicle' first thing in the morning is something that stops me drinking my coffee and just screw my face up

Update.

One month on from the operation, I returned yesterday from a 6 day stay in Hospital due to an acute infection! - A thread in its own right - still with my initial problem & the prospect of repeat surgery when this finally heals & clears itself up!!!

I have to see my Consultant again in 2 weeks, and am still off work..... :(

I'm extremely glad to be home, alas I'm quite ill and have little prospect of a return to work any time soon.....

I've Still got a massive Nut, the wound is STILL OPEN! it still hurts and I've never taken so many pills in my life!!!

Things in perspective though, a year ago today, my Girlfriend had her first Cancer operation.:( Thankfully, now she's doing great and she's dashing about like a headless Chicken preparing for our 3rd Christmas. :) The contrast couldn't be more stark between her last year & this.

Seeing her back to herself is something thats kept a great big smile on my face through all of my recent woes.

:)

Could just get it over and done with a lob them all off :p

Seriously i hope you get better soon:(

Christ. :(

Glad to hear you're on the mend, dude. I feared this would happen :(

*n

Well, you tried to warn me mate..... Hopefully, I have survived this encounter with the NHS - I dread the next!

It almost makes ma laugh, I was initially treated as a day patient to "save costs" I wonder what my forced 6 days of Hospital stay with anti-biotic drips has cost the NHS? Never mind the numerous visits to my GP? Oh, I've been discharged & now have a District Nurse tending my dressings & assessing me!

Crazy! :rolleyes::mad:

I hope you and you're gf have a lovely Christmas together and that you get well soon.:)

Thanks mate. :)
