*Unreal Tournament III*Thread :o) Game Pics & Performance.

i suppose everyone has their own little strategies.

I just think camping armor and then running away when your health is low to collect more health and armor is lame. :p

Crazy fragging is the key to winning :D

If you do then the accuser probably doesn't have a clue, camping in UT won't get you very far.

I said, if you are in one place or just moving around now and again then sitting there and picking people off as they come into sight then people will accuse you of caming, so how dont they have a clue? I know camping wont get you far at all, unless you are in a camper server :p

If they had a clue they wouldn't accuse you of camping, because you won't get very far... feel like I'm repeating myself lol.

The word camping is over used anyway, if you are moving around, even in a certain place (defending an area, waiting for a vital respawn), it is not camping, it's playing strategically. Camping is when you sit in one place the whole time, and like I said, just won't work in UT, and hardly any games for that matter.

If you're a sniper you don't run around either. You'll stay in a single position.

I consider never leaving the room with the Shield belt in it camping....or at least a supergay pussy lame playing style :p

Any news on any updates on the performance issues at all? After many hours of tweaking, i still find the game to stutter around corners and such. Frames seem reasonable but not amazing, but certainly playable. Just the stuttering that is ruining the game. 2gb of RAM and a 512mb GPU card should be enough for medium textures and such on XP surely? :o

any know how to change fov to 110 and keep it that way? (can do in console but every death and it resets to default again)

Also, its quite difficult seeing some models due to the complex architecture..anyone find this?

Performance issues, really? Which gpu?

My setup is almost always 62fps but dips to 38-40ish when I am viewing large areas like the water area int eh Gateway level.

Can anyone tell me what the best connection setting is? I am on virgin 2mb. Do I set it to cable modem or lan (or is there much difference?)

Can it cause it problems setting it too high?

x1950 Pro 512mb running at 1280x1024 (no AA or AF) with textures never set higher than 3/5. The stuttering is quite awful on most levels i've tried. :o

Works nice on my setup in 1280x720, highest detail in vivid with brightness on 9

X1800XT
X2 3800 @2.8ghz
2gb Gskill

Only problem i have is that it crashes about 2 or 3 minutes in. Is there a new patch?
