Xmas present for GF - DS Lite or Wii?

I am tempted to get myself a DS sometime after Xmas now. Can you play games against each other on wifi and on t'intenet.

So could me and my GF race someone else on Mario Kart? Does online work well or is it a pain to get working properly?

Nah mate, i meant it for the good back catalogue of GBA games that you can still get pretty cheaply, the M3 has a slot that allows you to put an original GBA game in and play it on your DS, s'pretty cool and allows you to play some GBA classics too.
 
Id' honestly go for a DS, the Wii that i bought, well, its boxed up and the new owner is coming to collect it at about 6:30! :)

The DS on the other hand, is fun for the occasional laugh, and always play Mario Kart and Fifa 08 with my girlfriend's little bro when i'm over there. (Well, i say little he's 15 and 6"1! :eek:)

haha, pretty set on the DS now. I could get one for me and her for the price of a Wii :)

Tell me about it mate. My GF's bro is 14 and he is nearly the same height as me (I'm 22 but only 5' 8"). I still reckon I could beat him up though..........not that I want to.

Give it time, you'll want to, when he hits 15/16 and becomes a moody chav :D

I'd say honestly get a DS, worst comes to worst and you decide you want a Wii, you get one when the price has been returned to normal, ie: February!

Don't forget to get Elite Beat Agents!! :D

He is becoming a bit moody now actually as he has his first proper 'girlfriend'. Luckily he hates chavs as much as me. In fact he hates every type of person, emo, chav, goths etc.
 
Depends what kind of person she is. I'm a very social person and I think I'd get bored of a DS quickly as there are a lot of games but it's a very seluding thing, where as the Wii can be used on your own, with a partner or with a big group. However if she likes play games when there is no one else around DS might be better.

It is just her and I at home most of the time and if a DS frees up some time for me to spend on the 360/PC then it is best :)
