gibbo also said there would be plenty of GT's instock for the release but there wasnt.

I am happy to be proven wrong, but I remember a deathly quiet on the Gibbo front for a week or more about GT stocks. I'm don't recall him mentioning stock at all, certainly not specific numbers.

Isn't like..... tomorrow the official release date :/
Shops here in The Netherlands have them listed already at the 315 - 330 (incl. btw = VAT) euro price range, that would be around 226 pounds incl. VAT?

I'm excited.

I'll have one for the £250 region no probs.

If i can get a game with that (COD4 would be mint) then thats the card i'm going for.

id add a 20 quid extra to what you expect too pay for these cards might sound daft but i think 270  which to me sounds expensive but we do like getting hammered here in the uk.

I wouldn't be excessively surprised, but £270 takes them too close to the GTX. I only skimmed the legionhardware review that was taken down late last week, but they found the new GTS to be no quicker than the GTX from what I recall.

well from what ive seen they will be dearer as just seen price oh dear is all i say.but apperantly they are good.taken from person selling who has cards

Early reviews suggest these overclock beyond 800MHz on stock cooling and score over 16k on 3DMark06 - truely amazing cards! are they worth 300 somolians though with new cards round the corner.maybe a gt is the only worthwhile cost effective option at mo.

You can buy the ocuk gtx for cheaper if they do come out for £270.

well from guy i seen who has em there a bit quicker than a gtx , dunno what is truth or what is lies .but 300 is too dear for my liking.might be cheaper but seems to be the only person who is advertising em. naught boy.

Personally i think the whole idea around this card is pretty stupid. As of tomorrow there will be THREE 8800 gts's on the market, the 320mb, the 640mb and now the 512mb. I don't get why nvidia never gave it a different name or model number, bound to be some confusion out there among people. Has this situation ever happened before, where one card naming convention has had 3 different varients? Think this is a first.

I don't understand why they didn't bump the model number up to 8900 for the G92 based cards, aside from making it less cluttered they'd surely have been a better way to go for marketing etc?
