Crysis loses out at awards

I think that COD4 is just like a remake of COD2.
A really good game that I've enjoyed but didn't really bring anything new to the table.
 
These awards things are just a giant crock anyway. They had the video game equivalent of the BAFTAS on TV a while ago, it was ludicrous - Games like Crysis and Assassins Creed were being nominated for best game of the year, even though they hadn't even been released yet! Wii sports won about 6 awards as well. Can't take these thing seriously.
 
Maybe OCUK should have an awards thingy, voted for by you lot on this forum?
It could cover hardware as well as games.

I reckon that would mean more than those ones given by reviewers in magazines and on websites. More impartial.
 
I have only bought COD4 as I don't have the spec for Crysis and Bioshock

I will review them next year when i have better kit.

Finally someone who understands cod4 :)

I felt exactly the same. Respawning enemies make the game lose all tactics and its the cheapest way ever to make a game harder.
Maybe they should put "Korean spawns" in crysis to make it harder, to 90% of the whiners don't complain anymore.

the sniper and boat level were awesome imo, very spectacular and tense.

Precisely, got bored with COD4 as it offer's nothing new at all apart from a graphical update.

Played crysis a few hour's on Saturday and haven't played it since.

Thought bioshock was poor, this era of gaming is becoming so stale now.

/fast forward 10 year's + .......
 
I thoroughly enjoyed both CoD4 and Crysis, both very good in all departments (Crysis ending and CoD4 single player length aside)

I don't know why, but everything i have seen of Bioshock has just really put me off it. I tried the demo, and to be perfectly honest with you i thought it was the most overhyped game i had ever seen.

Do they not have an RTS section? I would have loved to have seen Supreme Commander and the add-on Forged Alliance take that, those games are awesome too.
 
i don't see how i game like cod4 can win game of the year, it has no real story line, it's just a selection of missions, crysis was class, so was bioshock, stalker should have been up high in the list
 
Yea right supreme commander is easily goty
these fps are play through once and forget games sup comm just keeps on going and getting better and cod4 online is more overhyped than the mayweather hatton fight
 
CoD4 f.t.w.....at least i can play that at my monitors native res with all the effects turned on and it doesn't make my pc implode :bigthumbs:


......i can see it now....."if Crysis players could switch off for just 5 mins a day, we could save enough energy to light up a small county!" :o

you dont like cod4, crysis or bioshock, maybe you should think about whether you actually like gaming at all? those three + orange box and you think the 'era of gaming is becoming so stale' whats wrong with you...
