Do you actually think about what you write? If a "brainless majority" used swords to kill people, don't you think there would have been rather more then 80 attacks last year?

Ah, that's where I was going wrong! I always though majority meant 'more than half'. Obviously it means a very small proportion, that explains it now...

So the 80 people attacking people last year are the majority of tens-hundreds of thousands of people who own a Samarai sword? You really are a labour supporter aren't your?

So something that kills 5 people a year, but was origionily designed to kill. is less acceptable than something which kills 3360 people in the uk every year, but wasn't designed to kill.

I can see which is clearly the better weapon here, also cars are used to break into shops, (through the metal cover thing), and numerous other places.

I don't think that they can say this ban is because of the people killed, and is actually purely a publicity stunt by some Mp to try and grab a few votes.

Dude the point your missing is they won't let you even use a real sword in martial arts until you can control a Bokan (wooden training sword) perfectly as in attack someone and be able to stop the blade just before it hits them (even just a slight brush of air from the weapon and you fail) and seemlessly move into another attack without touching them rinse and repeat for about five minuites without stopping. Only once you are able to control the sword perfectly will they allow you to use battle ready weapons in a dojo and none of these fights are coreographed how do you think they have competitions if all of it was coreographed!

What's amusing people are more fussed about sword collectors, then the spate of wars by our own goverments/armies, which kill people in several maginitutes of the odd person going on a killing spree.

But primarily they were made to kill.

So were tanks. So people shouldn't be allowed to drive around on there own field, with a ex-army tank (removed of firing mech) Although he could go on a driving rampage..

Also because of 9/11, there should be no light aircraft pilots, because they could fly into another building. Sky diving should be banned too, because someone might decide to not pull the cord thus commiting suicide.

Don't forget that fertilizer and other substances (don't know of the top of my head) should be banned too. Those can be made to build bombs, you can add nails to it for more devastation. So nails should be banned.

Ban everything..

I can see why its been done, because the government want to try and cut knife crime, but at the same time if someone is going kill someone with a samurai, they're going to kill someone anyway, banning one type of knife will only make them use a different one.
Its only a sharp blade with a nice design, at the end of the day..

The problem will never be fixed, by removing the weapons from people who want to cause a problem, its pretty plain and simple..
