Well, it's not like we're all only going to be able to play on our OcUK char ONLY when everyone else is online is it?

You might get left behind a bit, but i'm positive others would help you catch up :)
 
As this would be a more casual / social guild I suggest PvE as you are not going to get frustrated by getting ganked.

I think everyone is happy with the Horde so I will have a look for a few PvE realms.

A forum banding together on a server together = a fair few players, all similar levels..

Refusing to play PvP incase of ending up in a PvP duel...

let me get this right again.. numerous OcUK members rolling together on a server... but not PvP..

Hmm, you would outnumber them, and have fun doing so.

I guess the regular/raiders don't say anything as they have no interest ;) ;) ;)
 
I only play a littel at weekends and if i get this laptop of mine patched up - maybe an hour or two in the week, give us a shout what server your on, ill come and have a laugh.

Im 99% PvP player though, so not being able to kill the otehr side on a whimp will take some getting use to lol.. Still, if everyone is on a PvE server, who am i to argue, always use my other chars on PvP to go do that.
 
Yeah you guys keep saying things like "killing people on a whim" but seriously, it just doesn't seem to work like that.

I managed to get 2 characters to 60 on a PVP server and it was miserable. It has nothing to do with "skillz". I can kill other people quite easily, even when they're 4 or 5 levels higher. The problem is the amount of level 70 losers with nothing better to do than gank lowbies who are trying to level up! And they do it a -lot-.

It'd be worse on a new server too, cause you couldn't just log your main and release seven levels of hell on them.

I wouldn't call it being a wimp, i'd say it was more a case of being productive with my time. If you want to encourage fights on a PVE server then just play with /pvp constantly enabled. At least you have the choice then.
 
I meant at lvl 30-50 when your running around STV or the crator when mostly you are the same level as each other.. and remeber.... ITS ONLY A GAME!! lol...

PVP or PVE - its the people you are with that makes the game.

Well fair point from you. You are on a different server where this could happen often for you perhaps? Or perhaps trouble just follows where ever you go?

No one said anything about PvP having anything to do with Skill, only reason I personally prefer PvP is that I enjoy it. Rather than attacking a computer I can attack a real person which adds element to the game. It is more challenging, you are more cautious while you attack NPCs which gives you an edge.

Sure ganking sucks, but this is OcUK. err WoW.. err large numbers or people from a forum who will band together for the greater cause.. for the Horde? Go alliance if you PvE!!!! You heard me!!! :cool:
 
When I played WoW ganking and world PvP were the most fun aspects for me.

BUT I agree being ganked by people who are much higher lvl than you is annoying, esp. if they camp you. Hence why I never ganked lowbies. :p

So many people say that, never hear someone say I camp lowbies, just people denying it.

And you decide to point out that you dont camp lowbies when no one has asked if you camp them in the first place.

I am onto you oL!!
 
I recently quit WoW, but one of the things I loved to do was go to Duskwood with my friend and blast away any lowbies we came across. We'd camp on the rooftops of Darkshire, on different roofs to cover the entire village. It was tremendous fun, ethics be damned. A shadow priest and warlock both in full epics, you couldn't really stop us even if you got several 70s on board.

It's true! I never touched a lowbie without good reason... on purpose atleast.
 
i am on Talnivarr Aliance
70 Warrior
70 Druid
70 Hunter
70 Rogue

its a pvp server and yea it does involve some pvp killing at times when lvling
but anytime its happened to me i have not been corse camped nor have i done same
but one place thats the worst is STV or gankathorn vale :p

if anybody is on talnivarr let me know

Haha! I didn't get bored a couple of nights ago, get some other people from my guild and gank everyone in Southshore :o

Cue an outright war with some ally guild with a REALLY gay name (and I mean really gay name).

I have reasons to want to start a new char on a PvP server(:p), but i'm not too fussed because if i want to play on a PvP server, I can go on my main!

Is anyone going to poll this thread up so we can atleast vote on PvP vs. PvE?

Not everyone will be online at the same time, and different people level at different speeds, so it's unlikely that you'll have more than 2 people questing together at any one time.

I have played on a pvp server since a month after release, and I have NEVER seen a fair fight. It's always just a group of the other faction taking out one person, or a high level killing everything in sight. Or of course, when level 70 horde start annoying the alliance in somewhere like Hillsbrad and the alliance are losing, they just take it out on every low level trying to quest.

I hate pvp servers with a passion, and if it wasn't for the fact all of my RL friends refuse to play pve, I'd never go on a pvp server again :p.

Lol nothing like that. I'm trying to remember what it was, because it had me in stitches for atleast 15 minutes. :o :p

Yes we need a don to create a poll, my post was aimed at one, or atleast to clarify whether or not someone had already asked/emailed one. :)
