*Unreal Tournament III*Thread :o) Game Pics & Performance.

I hope they add the no crash feature on X1800 / X1900 cards on the next patch. Then I will play it.

Runs quite good in 1280x720 in highest detail on my X1800
 
Is there a way to quickly quit the game? I can't Alt F4, and it takes ages to click through all the 'logoff' and 'exit' buttons.

Just bring up the console (F10) while you are in game and type 'exit'.

By the way all, Patch 1.01 is out. Go here -> http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=591638 to download it. Lots of nice fixes for the UI and some gameplay ones too (yay for the increased damage to mantas!).
 
I am still loving this game. Great graphics and FPS with my 8800GT.

I have been playing it more than Crysis and TF2.

I wish there were more maps and servers.
 
So what's with DX10 and this game? Can't tell a darned bit of difference between DX10 and DX9 mode. I was hoping I'd be able to use some AA in DX10 or something....
 
I love the explosions on this game. like when a Manta comes flying at you but you smack it with a rocket and it just explodes with such force.

I love
  • buying normal and recieving LTD edition
  • the game
  • playing with Autechre - Tri Repetae as the soundtrack when supremely drunk and clueless

AA will only work in Vista through the Nvidia CP. Unreal Engine 3 uses a method called Deferred Shading or something that makes native AA support unfeasible.

Also there is no DirectX 10 support at the moment. This will be released in an upcoming patch, according to Epic. The functionality exists in the engine, but it has not been coded in yet.

In Vista I use Nhancer and had GOW in DX9 and I managed to get it doing AA and it looked fine allthough it was laggy with 8xAA, had to rename the exe to bioshock tho and GOW uses the UE3.
 
It doesn't hve as many players as 99 or 2k4, but it's plenty to play with. It gained quite a few players on Christmas day and a lot of them seem to have stayed. It's my GOTY for 2007 I reckon, even if there are a few bugs bringing it down

Probably the best game I've played :D (was on the winning team for every round):

Its a great game and ive been playing it for ages now but here are my niggles that i think need fixing:

  • Flak Cannon fires too slow
  • Scorpion primary fire damages the manta too easily
  • The map "biohazard" needs making bigger imo, too small and it leads to being smashed apart by impact hammers constantly
  • Goliath needs to be strengthened, its far to weak and can be easily taken down
  • Skitching on hoverboard with fast vehicles needs to be improved, you either fall straight off or loose health from bashing into things
  • Improved loading times between matches
