Got me a new turbo...

Well, new to me anyway.

Been looking for one of these for a while, but finally managed to get one from a bus. It'll be going on my 16v Volvo 142 eventually. When you're looking for the kind of outputs I am from a four cylinder motor it's impossible to find car derived turbos to fit.

Turboford guys in the colonies are topping 500hp on these on 2.3l engines.

Problem is, Holset will tell you that you can't use these on a petrol engine. Err, no. There's hundreds, if not thousands of these boosting petrol engines hard and doing just fine. Holset don't like it and if in email conversation with them you happen to mention that it's on a petrol engine they stopp communication with you.

It looks a bit rough, but is in excellent condition.

I reckon my Cossie T3/T4 hybrid will be up for sale soonish then!

It's getting a 2.3 16v lump. Why on earth would he build a drag car out of a T5? The 142 is the nicest of the mid-year Volvo saloons tbh. Uber-rare too. Only a handful were ever imported.

Once it's fully restored and kicking out big power, I think you'd change your mind...
