i had to quit that worlds collide one. Far too difficult
The trick - as I nearly found out to my cost - is that you shouldn't shoot any of the ships in the first two "rooms". The mission briefing does say "the gates are unlocked so you can avoid combat if you wish" but it's not explicit enough imo about the penalties if you
don't avoid combat. You can make it to the first acceleration gate without anything being in range of you, and in the second room you have to just ignore the 2-3 ships there (which will fire on you) and just shield boost and afterburn your way to the second gate. The third "room" - where you actually do have to kill everything - they are much easier, like regular Level 1 combat missions. although there is a lot of them and they are all within firing range when you come out of warp.
I made the mistake of blowing up the two ships in the second room just because I thought I could, and when the 2nd popped about 12 more spawned - and they hit
hard, with missiles. The only way I finished the mission was by jumping to the 2nd room, trying to take out one ship before my shields disappeared, then warping to safety (and docking) and then warping back and repeating this process until all the 2nd room ships were gone. Very tedious - took forever before I was able to reach the 2nd rooms acceleration gate to finish the mission off.
Another tip is that you can do the mission in a Caldari Destroyer (Cormorant), I tried doing it in my Condor as the mission info says "only frigate-class ships can activate the first gate" - but it turns out the Cormorant fits into that category.
If you want a hand with Worlds Collide just message me in game - my char name is Durzel.
