In rough order:
1) World War II Online: Battleground Europe
2) Team Fortress 2
3) Medieval 2: Total War
4) Europa Universalis 3
5) Mix of the following:
STALKER, Bioshock, SupCom, Civ4, CoH, COD4.
All of the games for 5 I haven't played as much as I'd want to. I only just got COD4 and it's looking fantastic, only just on the second mission but it's looking like I might really like it. MP is yet to be tried. Bioshock was really really good for a while, got half way through then never went back, not out of conscious choice but I always seemed to have something better to be doing. Civ4 has to be there as I tend to just throw on a new game and play it for 2 or 3 days if I have that much time free, still a really good game. STALKER I really haven't played enough, went back to it a while again and had a much better experience with it then I did the first time I tried, if it wasn't for that it wouldn't even be tying for fifth place. SupCom brought me through the three weeks before BioShock without going nuts. CoH I only just got as well, looking good, still trying not to get my ass kicked in a fair fight though.
Other games of mention are:
World in conflict beta test, really liked the engine and game, just not enough to fork out €55 for.
Crysis SP demo, liked the demo, loved the game editor, again I can't justify the money for it though, I'd really just be buying it for the editor.
Portal, if it wasn't so short as to only have taken up 3 hours of my time one day it would easily have made the top 5. Excellent game, I really enjoyed those 3 hours more then most other games this year especially the last bit.
