The seller is nothing less of a scum. Whoever thinks the auction is perfectly fine and acceptable needs immediate help.
Just watched the youtube clip and the fat lady proves herself to be the most idiotic person on earth for going to the trial. What made her thinks she can argue her auction is legitimate? She already knew her auction was designed to scam people.

I don't care really, someone might fall for it and then be £600 down.
What a ****ed up legal system they have accross the pond, someone buys 2 photos for 400 dollars and then gets $5000 for the privilege being so stupid. I'm not condoning what the scammer did but I fail to see what law she broke. As for he arguement that the item weighed 4oz, wasn't that a description of what was in the photo?

It's a shame that everytime something like this comes up several people on this forum still support the seller. The people who say it's fair are probably the same people who come here complaining about being ripped off by shops or services when in fact they haven't bothered to read the terms and conditions like most of us don't. It's only fair when it's not happening to you.

Judge Judy is an ********! She's a narrow minded bigot and just tries to outshout the woman, really unprofessional and that video makes me kinda hate her, she doesn't know about the internet enough to understand. Sure they have a point and it is misleading but that is pointless sensationalism, Ugh, horrible programming, pathetic waste of the 'judging' system, horrible bias!

Correct. It's pretty much like going to Argos and paid £100 for a phone and only to be told you didn't read the small print so you'll only get a picture of the phone.
Weringo and RandomTom, you both are being thick, the victim mentioned that a few people have already fallen to similiar tricks from that seller. You think the $5000 fine is too much for the seller because she only scammed $400 off ONE victim? Then how about money from other victims? The seller has probably already cheated a few thousands.
Judge Judy didn't bother to discuss nicely with the seller because it's too damn obvious the seller is a scum and has been repeatedly riping money off more victims. That means the seller is fully aware of her scamming activity and is doing it intentionally. You want to try and talk some sense to such people? I would start puching the seller instead of just shouting.

I'm not being thick I'm simply stating that I absolutely hate the sensationalism of Judge Judy and how such a pathetic bigot could be on TV.
I know the scammer is in the wrong, If I was the judge, I'd tell her about how the things she did were in the wrong, claiming she'd falsely advertised due to the paper not weighing it's specified amount, and back up why & fully punish them. The fine was correct to be way over the one court case amount, but there's no point in shouting, even if it is a pretend legal system they've got going on, it won't put her in her place unless she is that insecure, watching it made me embarrassed to speak the same language as the 'judge'.
