Irrespective of when he went into Tesco, the fact remains that as of the time of your post, they are more closed than the minds of half the people in the graphics card forum :p

True but then I assumed, rightly or wrongly, that he'd already have the ingredients needed to make his own bread. :p

Is there anywhere open at all because I have put off getting groceries for a while due to the ridiculous queues into the supermarkets and my cupboards are now empty. I think I have half a box of **** Pops with no milk and a bottle of HP sauce.

To prevent starvation, where can I get food tonight or tomorrow?

Your local shop? Sainsbury's been plugging that their smaller shops will be open.

Or something like a Spar. Expensive and low quality, but can generally still be classified as food.

I'm sure some petrol stations will be open along with some local/corner shops and 7/11 type ones, not what you have near you. Some in London where I used to live were always open on Christmas day.

You could go along to some of your neighbours, who will almost certainly have a few hundred pints of milk along with 50+ loaves of bread. Be warned though, they wont give em up without a fight as they are preparing for Armageddon, which means you will almost certainly have to threaten them with violence to relieve them of some food. :D

Yeah, there's definitely no shortage of food, just spread across people's freezers all over the country.

They don't sound too nutritious!

Must be good!

Whats the recipe?

I'll try and find out tomorrow. It's not exactly written down, passed by word of mouth .

It's not often I get defended by Fox - I'm usually on the other end of a Petrol vs Diesel or a VW group bashing thread in Motors ;)

Good point from Jodie - I should have thought to check the ingredients isle there was likely piles of flour, yeast and fat. That and a baking tin would only have cost me a couple of weeks worth of Hovis and protect me well against the impending armageddon.

When I was a lad all the shops used to close on wednesday afternoons... The Great British Public have very short memories!
