The orange box isnt a 360 exclusive.
And you forgot singstar in the PS3 exclusives over 80%
So thats 15 versus 9, a whole 6 more exclusive games having been out over a year longer.
Then if you are looking someone in the face and telling them Perfect Dark Zero and Motor GP 06 are reasons to choose a 360 over a PS3 you need your head examining.
True, but I'd like to see the legitimacy of a lot of people reviewing some of those games so highly. Well respected publications certainly haven't been so kind to games such as Heavenly Sword, Resistance or Motorstorm. Warhawk for me was apalling too, such a massive disappointment for £20 and Sigma is just a remake of an old Xbox exclusive.
Whilst I question others on the Xbox360 too with equal verve, I just don't see a lot of quality in terms of exclusives on the PS3 at the moment. I would honestly only recommend Uncharted as a game that I couldn't put down, it's the only game I could think about putting in that 'top shelf' tier, but there are many I can think of on the Xbox360 such as PGR3, PGR4, Bioshock, Crackdown, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Test Drive Unlimited (which is missing from the list), Viva Pinata, Saints Row and Call of Duty 2 (another vacancy) off the top of my head.
It does come down to media, I use my PS3 for my media more than my Xbox360 because I think it's a much better console for, well, everything if I'm being honest. I love it, however for games I'd say the Xbox360 and I prefer the Live service to PSN as I think it gets games and downloads of a much higher quality (at the same time as the rest of the world - take a note Sony) and I think the extra features are much better, however, PSN isn't as bad as some people would make out. I'd rather pay £40 for PSN and have it like Live than have Live for free and be like PSN though.
You get a downloadable movie setup through Xbox Live which has potential (though a little too pricey for the restrictions it imposes for me) which could sway some people, it's not for me though.
I think everyone should own both if I'm being perfectly honest, it's hard to criticise either console without being petty (such as hardware failures - yes, we've all heard it and yes it's still petty after 2 years, grow up) so, for what both offer they are great.
I think Xbox has the better exclusives for the future (even without discussion or clues as to what the vast majority of future ones are) and I feel Sony are getting too dependent on MGS, FF and GT, if I'm being honest I'd rather play Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 than either of them.
I'm happy I own both, I feel sorry for those that only own one and reduce themselves to bickering over which is better, or those who are sour at making a mistake with their hardware and becoming bitter over it and becoming bias, so I'll say with this:
You'll be happy with either from now I believe as the most consistent games seem to be those on both formats such as Assassins Creed or Call of Duty 4, but if you're interested in playing exclusives then it has to be the Xbox360 now, there is no point buying 'for the future' when the consoles are so evenly powered and we don't know what is yet to come, buy for now and worry about the future later. If you must, get an Xbox360 now and be happy, sell that when the games on the PS3 (such as MGS, FF or GT) are out and then buy that.
Both are fantastic machines, I wish people would stop being so bitchy and actually accept that. There are only a couple of people here who have managed to maintain sensible composure without being bias, petty, bitter or plain pathetic and it's disappointing, so I'll give credit to msmalls74, Inoshishi and Abooie here (there are others, but I've never seen these 3 ever reduce themselves to what basically equates to schoolyard name calling and I can include myself in there as I've been guilty of that too, stupidly so at times).
People should buy whatever they think they'll be most happy with, I've given my honest opinion above in regards to both, so that's that for me.
