I think it was just a geek joke referring to the gaffa tape upgrade. You need a quad ocre or it just isn't worth it.

A) Look so huge and
B) look very widescren
when you rotate them?!

Nah it doesn't you can still see more then 50% of your screen and you can still get sound from the speakers. Theres just enough space to use a mouse too.
