**CALL OF DUTY 4 MODERN WARFARE**

think of it this way

The stoppage power perk is the weapon at full power

Without it on the weapon is immensely weaker

Most people who play FPS's find it really easy to get to grips with CoD4, probably because its so so basic.

Dumbed down for a bigger market, ala console market.

Yar the game is very very noobed. Its amazing when playing the amount of weapons is see classified as being noob weapons, m203, m60 with red dot, p90 with silencer. May as well attach the "noob" word to every weapon with the way that list is expanding.

I think its crap what they done with the game, its like we just got the 360 version with pc controls attached. Would have thought they would vary the pc version up a bit to make recoil play more of a factor and nade spammage less of a factor but nope.

The games fun for the first few days, but i can see cod4 quietening down after a while...

I know what you mean but the ACOG scope is different - not quite as easy to use but zooms further than the Red Dot one.

TBH, I went off the scopes and towards silencers after a while. The lack of the scope is more than outweighed by not giving away your position every time you fire.

your you could play hardcore like a man ;)

:p

Has anyone else noticed too that the people that call it noobish with nades m203's air strikes etc nearly always have a carp score or have just been killed by nades?

Most people don't cook nades so you can throw 90% of the ones that land close enough to hurt you back or just out run them even on hard core, if your dying from nades offten, (outside of wetwork or shipment), and your not pinned by fire at the same time, your the one who's nooby.

I've abandoned the single player and am now hooked on multiplayer. Only, like all games, I'm getting frustrated at:

1) Jumping/Bunny hopping.
2) People blocking doorways etc..
3) Non-sniper campers
4) Lack of teamplay

Hehe I'm always coming top, with the noobish nades and the terrible airstrikes.

Its just TOO easy and takes a lot of the fun/challenge out of the game

Should really get yourself into a clan, the matches are some of the best times ive had playing an MP game in ages.

I've played many scrims/matches and they were just as easy/boring

For cod4 to appeal to gamers like myself they need to introduce larger maps, less noobish ******** and add a little skill to the game

thorpy isnt no noob :p and a lot of mates i know who play all cod series generally reagard uo as the best but with the dying servers its nearly gone.cod4 is better than cod2 by miles and is as close to uo as any of the newer additions.
bar uo takes ages to master as it kicked like a mule .on cod 1 there wasnt much recoil on it(bar). but if you could use bar pro style you could own (which not many can)and most use a mp44 as its acturate and doesnt take long to master.
it does help playing other cod games as your already accustomed to the gameplay which makes it easier to play .compared to a noobie whos just started.take me for istance played every cod since cod 1 from day of release and uo i probably logged more hours on that game that almost anyone.
im sure theres still abit of movement left to go in cod4 patches and such which will bring it up to par but uo is a gonna :( and is one of the finest games ive ever seen.in short cod 4 isnt as good as uo but its still decent or best mp at mo.

I still prefer CoD2 over 4 tbh, CoD2 seems a lot more skill based in scrims, I think its probably down to the maps as well maybe I don't know. CoD4 is fun for a mess around in pub but playing competitively just annoys me more than anything in that game.

Its sad really

UO>CoD2>CoD4

Large maps>Smaller maps(spawn nading)>Really small maps and even more spawn nading

Skill>Lesser skill (recoil)>No skill involved

Well 1) is easy to fix

Take your gun ok

Aim it at the person in mid air and FIRE!

Normally takes them down.

3) is easier, just kill them and if they are camping its not hard to work out where they are.

this works well with the knife also :D

some little rabbit comes bounding out of a window, spots me and jumps on a bin and over my head, out came the knife and i removed his nutsack, now he wasnt such a happy bunny after that, and proceeded with some childish banter about how he's gonna pwn the whole team. :o :D
