Intel info:
" Later in the i386's production run, Intel introduced the i386SX, which was meant to be a low cost version of the 386 line. The SX series of chips was 32-bit internally, but had a 16-bit external data bus (in much the same way that the 8088 in the original IBM PC was a lower cost version of the 8086) and a 24 bit address bus; therefore, the processor could only address 16 MB of memory. The original i386 was subsequently renamed the i386DX to avoid confusion. Neither CPU included a math coprocessor (most motherboards included a socket for an i387), though the naming would cause some head-scratching later when the i486 came in a DX variant that did include floating-point capability (which was physically present but disabled in early i486SXs). "
I aint got the date yet, but its not fully 32bit and what Windows was anyhow then (depending on date).

I remember that, great introMoonstone

You are completely ignoring what the 386 was when it was originally released, a fully 32bit internal and external processor, later called the 386DX instead of the 386SX which was a cheaper version with the 16bit external bus, much like the chip used in the 1200 with its reduced 24bit external busHighlighted the same part as I did and it does not say that, it says:was 32-bit internally, but had a 16-bit external data bus
Jokester said : was full 32bit internal and external
What part am I missing that you obv reading![]()
That the 386DX chip release in 1985 was fully 32bit?I read it all m8, LOL.![]()
Does anybody have an alternate download for this. Original site is down
has the rules on this stuff changed recently? i mean, i love emulators but all the ones posted recently need a bios to work? that's always been frowned apon before now
I still have an A1000 with kickstart and workbench disks somewhere....has the rules on this stuff changed recently? i mean, i love emulators but all the ones posted recently need a bios to work? that's always been frowned apon before now
Which is completely silly , if people don't have the original legit files thats there damn fault.. If people arnt linking bios's from here then its perfectly legal. I mean hell emulators have been discussed on rage3d for years without problems!
this isnt rage3d either, remember that![]()
