**CALL OF DUTY 4 MODERN WARFARE**

I don't want to offend anyone or anything. And I suppose I'm trying to play the devils advocate in a way.

But whats wrong with "aim and shoot" and the supposed "lack of recoil", if player 1 and player 2 are both trying to kill each other, regardless of what game they are playing, the better player will win. No?

Your missing the point

There is no challenge in cod4

sure there is, firing faster than the other guy, cod4 just places it at first shot aim, rather than recoil control.

Nah not always, I've been shot at many times and can just run/jump/prone and turn and kill them before they kill me.

Ah well im just being a whiney mofo :)

If you enjoy it, then you enjoy it :D

Each to their own i guess

SCREW COD4!

:p

yes and that would prove my point it's about being able to get the first shot on target, namely at their head, or on hardcore pretty much anywhere.

Then if you don't like it play something else. It has a huge player base already, it must be doing something right.

Hehe i do play something else :) Its generated such a big player base due to the ease of use/learning curve

But yea, each to their own ! :)

uo cod1 is harder to learn to shoot play good, cod 4 is easy compared to them .cod 2 is just shizzle.think thats what thorpys getting at.you basically can just come on and do pretty well where as in earlier cod series you needed to learn your skillz the hard way. take uo slap 99% of peeps with a garrand from start and they wouldnt even play the game

Yup, cod1 and uo were very obviously pc games, cod2 and cod4 are obviously geared more for consoles. Sad really that a company that built its reputation with the original pc cod (and mohaa) is now content to give pc gamers console dumbed down gameplay.

What don't you like about CoD2? I can see why you would think its dumbed down from CoD:UO but I still think its a lot better than CoD4 in terms of learning the game and gameplay in scrims. CoD2 scrims were just the best tbh.

Cod2 started the things that make cod 4 crap, little to no recoil, rampant grenade spam (although they weren't quite as lethal as the cod4 nades), regenerating health. Cod 2 was the start of the consolised versions going multiformat.

I never understood the regen health and the crosshair goes red even if they are through smoke :s

Hmm, true I suppose but the nades aren't really an issues if you play competitively and I think that the regen is good, it adds another element to the game rather than a set health bar. True about the recoil though.

Yeah, just unlocked the Deagle and you can fully burst out the clip and your more or less on the same spot as you started firing from. Id like to see someone do that in real life.

Don't try and make out that there's any more skill involved in playing a PC FPS and a console FPS. It's all relative.

i just went on a 45 man free for all, was good fun but way too many spawn campers.

And the fact that there was some guy on there who was obsessed with the word 'anal' and wouldnt stop saying it lol.

I'm beginning to think the game is too easier... just got 1600XP and came top of a server despite having a ping of 250ms, a really awful mouse and being drunk....

Ah well.... ranked up nicely!

Unfortunately it didn't last... next match I only got one shot in about 30 mins.

I think many would argue that there is, pc fps games require a lot on controlling recoil and target aquistition, with a console target aquisition is more sluggish than it would be with a mouse, also controlling recoil would be pretty hard with a joypad hence the extreme lack of it in all versions of cod4.

Ive played cod4 on both 360 and pc, on pc its much more fast paced on 360 it seems like people are creeping around a lot more. Its the same game obviously but the control schemes make a difference to how its played.
