I used to have a 000CXAE,
You have almost convinced me this is a "Check how big my peni.... my guitar is. Yes. ..... guitar...." thread. That doesn't count thats not a real Martin that!
£627 shipped! ewe
I totally toally agree. Taylors are far superior to Martins in my opinion, in EVERY sense of the word. They play, sound, feel so much better, and they cost so much less.I played some of the most expensive Martins, and a Taylor GA6, imo, blew them all out of the water. Even Martins that were twice the price. The Taylor had a perfect balance in tonal quality, the Martins just seemed like they wouldn't breathe. While the Taylor GA6 is far from cheap, i've never heard anything quite so angelic. That said, i could have, but didn't buy it. I'm not deserving of a guitar such as that, not yet, i still use my fourth finger for an anchor at times.. *slaps self*.

Also, when you say your fourth finger, do you mean your ring finger, or your little finger?
If you mean ring finger, and you're only anchoring it 'at times' then I really wouldn't worry about it in the slightest. If you're not playing with it, then what's the problem with it touching the soundboard of the guitar?

Taylor GA6 is £1499 thats round the same pricing as my OM18-V give an take £200
I'll pick one up and try one next time i'm in the shop.
I have played a GA6, and almost every other Taylor on the market. In terms of off the shelf playability, they walk all over Martins. When I was backstage with Tommy Emmanuel (yes, backstage.I was the one that tried the GA6, not Naffa.
If his was £600, its not going to be the GA6, is it? Although, he may have played one himself.
