I wouldn't change my years-old Panasonic for anything. I honestly don't know what I'd do if it broke, I've yet to find any other newer DECT phones which are as good.
Phone has been rock solid tbh. It's a single handset and I'd like to add another but the purchase price of extra phones is expensive. Makes it better to buy a complete new phone set!
I have a BT Esprit 1250 twin (with answerphone). Not had any problems with it, my only minor niggle is I once left one of the hansdets not properly in the base for a day or so and it got really low on charge. Not really a problem though as I had two handsets and the first one was charged again quickly.
I'm also looking to pick up some new Dect phones as my current cheapo BT branded rubbish has bitten the dust. This time I'm looking to buy something decent, and I've been in two minds as to whether to go for something like the Philips VOIP841 combined DECT/Skype phone. Gets some excellent reviews and doesn't require a host PC for the Skype connectivity.
