I'm in the market for a new DECT phone (with 2 handsets or more).

I've been using Panasonic for the past few years but would be happy to consider other decent makes.

Cheers lads!

In all honesty Id personally buy panasonic for the insane battery lives on their handsets or philips for call listings + better answer machine quality

I wouldn't change my years-old Panasonic for anything. I honestly don't know what I'd do if it broke, I've yet to find any other newer DECT phones which are as good.

Did the Panasonics break? I've never had a problem with Panasonic either :)

Phone has been rock solid tbh. It's a single handset and I'd like to add another but the purchase price of extra phones is expensive. Makes it better to buy a complete new phone set! :D

I've got two Panasonics completely separate working together, second one just registered to the first base :)

One's 6 years old, other 3.

Only complaint is that the red on the hang up button has rubbed off on the older handset ;)

I have a BT Esprit 1250 twin (with answerphone). Not had any problems with it, my only minor niggle is I once left one of the hansdets not properly in the base for a day or so and it got really low on charge. Not really a problem though as I had two handsets and the first one was charged again quickly.

I'm also looking to pick up some new Dect phones as my current cheapo BT branded rubbish has bitten the dust. This time I'm looking to buy something decent, and I've been in two minds as to whether to go for something like the Philips VOIP841 combined DECT/Skype phone. Gets some excellent reviews and doesn't require a host PC for the Skype connectivity.
