First experiance of raod rage :/

Sounds like all he wanted to do was merge? Still it was a bit OTT. He should know by now that merge-in-turn just doesn't work in this country for some reason. Very rarely anyway.

Because it was two slow moving streams of traffic merging into one and this is meant to be done in turn, with each car leaving enough room for the next car to murge in. And he was clearly being a *word-I-cant-use* and trying to queue jump.

Agreed then he deserved all you did ..and more, thats another thing I hate when people just drive up the outside of a queue and try to push in.

Eh? That's actually in the highway code :p Try reading it sometime :D

Don't be a daft typical British motorist that just joins a queue at the back of the left lane when there are two perfectly good lanes. And especially when you know there are road markings at the other end that indicate to perform merging (the little curved arrows).

Would you walk into the Post Office and only use the queue on the left when there are other queues that you can join which would get you served quicker? No you wouldn't? I hope :D

Yeah.....thats true tbh......that is what the other lane is for.......

A guy at work was saying yesterday about in his youth (hes late 40's) someone stood in front of his car shouting at him saying he was going to kill him, so he ran him over and drove off.

I found that pretty funny.

That's not really funny at all. My colleague used to be a biker and he was run off the road by a car coming up to a traffic light. So he got off his bike and walked up to the car to have a word with him and he just floored it. He luckily went over the top of the car but broke his legs and had them fixed up using metal plates... His legs are all scarred even today. He took the man to court and it is still on-going to this day.

I was chased the other week as it goes...

I was on the A12 heading to Chelmsford when it's 2 lanes - I'm in the overtaking lane following the guy infront of me at usual stopping distance, both doing about 95 - plenty fast enough.

A Toyota Amazon gradually creeps up behind me until it's VERY close, now the was a stream of traffic on the left, so I couldn't slow down to pull in to let them past, and we are going at a good speed anyway. So I flash my rear fogs a few times and they don't back off, instead - main beams on, due to it's height, it is literally blinding me.

Then it turned into 3 lanes and the Amazon didn't go into the 3rd lane instead, stayed in the middle lane behind me, so by now I'm a little confused, thinking "what's this persons problem?" so I moved over into the inside lane, and the Amazon followed...switched lanes again, same thing...riight...time to drop a cog and floor it. It disappeared from my rear view and I thought that was the end of it, coming upto the Chelmsford turn off, I slow down with the rest of traffic and the Amazon comes screaming up the rear again, full beams on, sticking to my rear bumper, over the roundabout it follows after this it's a NSL which is a few miles long, I stay behind the 30mph guy to let the Amazon past but nope...stays behind me...I'm in 2nd, nothing in the fast lane, so I swerve out and floor it, Amazon does the same but can't keep up - by the time the Amazon had got to the roundabout at the end of the road, I was past it and on the 2nd one, and a few minutes later, lost sight of it as traffic lights and traffic worked in my favour.

Although it was worrying as to why the Amazon was chasing me I got a buzz from it :D

One incident that always stuck with me, when I was 17 and still learning to drive, I was waiting for my dad to come and pick me up from work (He would always bring my car out from home so I could drive back) I was waiting by the Nursery I worked for and from where I was standing there is these set of Railway arches (In Rugeley, heading to Brereton if you know the area) and there were two cars waiting at the front, an old 94 White Skyline and a Ford Fiesta, the Skyline pulled off in fron of the fiesta, I cant think for the life of me what the Fiesta did wrong, but the guy in the Skyline pulled in front of the Fiesta, got out started yelling, the guy in the Fiesta was daft enough to open his window, and te guy from the Skyline clocked him one in the face.. he was out cold...

Never really had an incicent of road rage tbh.

I get plenty of tail gaters however.
Being a biker makes it all the more fun by slowing right down (sub 10mph) and speeding back up again to the limit.
If they still dont get the point Ill slow right down yet again, wait for them to try overtake and nail it.

Tends to **** them off :)

Lmao are you joking me!!

To be honest, it wound me up reading but also made me laugh, people around my desk are wondering what im laughing at!!

To be blatently honest, i would have slammed the **** on, when the fat oath hits your rear you sue her and when it all goes to court you own her all over due to what a pratt she was been.

Some idiots around, me and DanMc07 was swearing and dan was pipping like a crazy man at some muppet in a 4x4 the other day as he decided he wanted to pull through a 1 way system when we were half way past making us kerb the car, luckily our mates behind us blocked him in which was funny.

Some idiots around, why they act like they do ill never know..

As you're a biker, surely it would be safer and easier to just give them a hand signal to move back?

Slowing down to 10mph on a motorway in presumably the overtaking lane is just stupidly dangerous.

You just have to laugh at them and hope that they are involved in a terrible one car accident which leaves them dead.
Who knows one day karma might come round to the idea.

I often get "Road Rage" especially if I'm trundling along on my limit for single carriageway road (in an HGV) which is 40MPH.

Often its from other truckers who should know better.

I usually ignore them completely.

A while back, had a guy in a car tail me for about 5 miles, ignore numerous safe overtaking opportunities only to pick bends & dips in the road to try (and fail) to get past.
After finally succeeding, he then proceeds to brake in front of me some "pay back" I suppose?

Anyway, on this particular occasion, I decided to pull into a lay by and let him go away, he reversed back to the lay by (nearly causing a pile up!) and proceeded to beat my cab door, demanding a fight.

I opened my door with my weight behind it,accidentally (;)) catching him square in the face & knocking him out cold.

After throwing some water over him to make sure he was alive, I told him what I thought of him (and he knew he was in a position where I could have kicked the crap out of him had I wanted to!) and I left him where he was.

I was sorely tempted to brush my trailer against his car (if not him!) as I pulled away.

he was a lucky man, many other truckers would have caused him some real pain although I bet the door hurt!

Picking a fight with a grizzly trucker  Never a good idea! For starters, he who has the higher ground will always win :p

i get people sitting on my rear bumper all the time, i get quietly wound up about it but i stick to the speed limit and try to ignore them

Only time i didnt was first thing in a morning when i was heading to work and a knackered old corsa comes up behind me and is so close i cant see his headlights....i slammed on my brakes and he had to swerve....royally annoyed me but he kept his distance after that!
