ford focus st260

"That extra power is thanks to a revised ECU and breathing system"

"The tuning kit will also be offered as a dealer-fit upgrade for existing ST owners at a cost of about £1,500."

So £1500 for a remap and a performance filter? =S

Oh and an exhaust...

but still, that's a bit steep isn't it?

oops sorry, hadn't read up... seems fair enough i guess.

I dunno, Subaru have been charging £2k for essentially the same for years :)

Prices released for the Fiesta upgrades, too much and too little too late, only advantage is that you keep your warranty.

Wonder how much they're gunna charge for the Focus upgrade now...although not as difficult to tune

I can see the sence in tuning the Fez as not to invalidate the warranty as more is involved than just a remap, but the focus has bluefin which is easily removed prior to taking the car in for any warranty work so seems a waste of money. The only downside to Bluefin is that everytime the dealer resets the ECU you have to send your unit back to Superchips to be reflashed which is a pain.

Fair play for a manufacturer to offer up things like cam upgrades on a pretty mainstream car. I know you can probably get stuff like that for more specialist vehicles, but a Fiesta? :)

If i had the spare cash and intended to keep my Fiesta ST for a while then this would be a sweet upgrade for the 185 version, however I'm more likely just to stump for a better car when I do upgrade. Nice idea though and something thats great to offer to keep the warranty.
