Man after my own heart :)

Also got a few bottles of Old Peculiar in the fridge at the moment.

Real Ales is the way to go, forget all these flash blondes etc, get a real mans drink

Whats the fascination with Corona and a lime in the top, its crap beer, far to bitter and you look like a *** drinking it.
It tastes good, and you look like a **** drinking any fancy beer in the pub but no one has said that so far, who cares, it tastes good, it's refreshing.
The lime is tradition in mexico (keeps flies away) and suits the brew.

I'll uphold Corona too - it's not amazing but it's good if you want something really light for drinking throughout the night. I prefer it without the lime.

There is a reason for the lime, it's not some fad so that people can look cool. Before Corona became popular people would do the same thing with Sol in the 90s. Wiki says this about it:

It is common in Europe, the United States, Australia and Canada for Corona to be served with a slice of lime in the neck.

The reason for the lime is that hop compounds degrade when they come into contact with light. This causes beer in clear bottles to turn 'skunky.' The lime is used to mask this aroma

I have never found a lager that I liked the taste of, and I don't really like any beers either. In honesty I only ever drank any of it for the intoxicating effect, so for me it's a case of the lesser of evils, and that would be Shepherd Neame's bottled Christmas Ale.

Kronenburg 1664 is my beer of choice. Its the only beer which tastes yum to me!

If being manley is drinking water which tastes like you are licking armpits, I'd rather be female :p

Difficult question at the moment. I have a mini keg of Wolfsteiner in the garden which I also like on draft. Also Bahama (Brazilian beer with a beer in the shape of a woman) which is a nice alternative to the mexican beers was half price in Sainsbury's last night.... but usually I tend to drink Meantime Brewery beer as my local serves it on tap and Sainsbury's taste the difference beer is all Meantime which is what I usually buy.

Whats a flash blonde? I drink real ale but if I get a chance I have a real belgium beer - not your bog basic stuff you find in your wetherspoons but stuff you've never heard of and will probably never see again.

Sadly there's only one such place near me which sells a range of belgium beers and it's half an hour away (too far for taxi really) so somebody has to sacrifice themselves and drive :(

The attraction for me is tasting something new and different - same as with real ale, not all lager is stella / carlsberg type blandness.
