Do you use the internet to make people think you're clever?

Using your resources means you are clever ;)
Maybe not intelligent as such...but using what is there.

Those sort of people are the ones that i could see saying
"I never used my initiative because no one told me to"

I misinterpreted the thread title, I thought this was going to be a post about people trying to boost their e-go by showing off online, rather than demonstrating knowledge to people IRL.

I do the former from time to time, but rarely the latter. Even on quizzes we have at xmas I don't google the answers.

Exactly. Somebody that has the intelligence to research something is clearly ahead of his colleagues if they don't even think to do the same.
