I wish i hadn't sold mine. Cant be bothered now though with either. I'm keeping 08 though as a reminder never to touch a konami football game again. I dont care if next years one is good or not it's insulting that they charged for this game and its still rubbish online.

They will have to sell next years at 19.99 from day one to even get anyone to touch it.
 
Do we have any indication whether Konami (who I have lost all respect for now) is working on another patch or have they washed their hands with it? Did the first patch actually do anything?

I don't know, after the first try at a patch I gave up with them and the game. I do look at this thread occasionally to see if a post is there that says it's fixed but I've given up putting the game in the drive.
 
i think the games still acceptable for offline play, its just a shame its only 4 players.
I dislike the 1v1 onlines mostly anyway, even without the fact they are choppy and laggy.
2v2s etc are the way forward, or co-op 6+man worldcups!

It made the lag problems marginally better, but it's still horrendous and unplayable. Well for me at least.

Think I'm going to try Fifa 08.

I find the shooting a bit weak sometimes as well. Also the responsiveness of the players and the fact they run AWAY from the ball when you pass it to a team mate sometimes, no matter what you press.

Yeh id agree with that, they should just also do away with the semi-manual-auto and have a single function, playing on manual is impossible to play due to the nature of the perspective.
 
Juat had a quick go on Live and its terrible, at first I thought it might be the host's connection so tried hosting one myself but still it was just as choppy.

Will this ever be fixed?
 
quick question about option files on the PS3...

Have got one and applied it but it's only the top 4 teams in the EPL that have proper custom kits. I have seen some adveritised on the bay that claim to do the whole lot, but I have also read on editing forums that you can only have 8 custom kits.

Can anyone advise if I can get more than 8 custom kits and whether the patch on the 'bay will be junk or not? Cheers
 
I traded mine in already. Sick of Konami relasing poor products, so I don't see why I should keep the game. Only lost a fiver from what I paid for it and I'd say that this years release was only worth a fiver IMO.
 
Just got this today, got my mates coming over this weekend for a lengthy pro evo session

Had a quick go online, jaysus :(

I heard it was bad but couldn't believe how bad it actually was
