Crysis on $900 PC

hit F12 then go to documents/games/crysis/screenshots, there they are, is that vista x64?

If everyone else is getting a lot worse, then I'm wondering if I've disabled something without realising, but was all set to very high - patched to 1.1, but I am using some older nVidia drivers though.

nice score! i just played through first couple of levels, custom very high settings in DX9 and got on average >30FPS at 1280*1024 how on earth did that happen using crysis 1.1, vista x64 and omega drivers

Edit: hold on thats not ingame is it, whats your in-game (i.e. running about shooting people) frame rate?

Something fishy is afoot.

Isnt it possible they just captured screenshots (like in those insane physics vids), chucked them together in virtualdub for a 'buttery' 30fps, recorded the sound using Adobe Audition or whatever, and then put it all together?

Actually no! You're the only person in the world who can get playable frame rates on Crysis Very High, well done you.

My rig gets 25-30 at 1280x1024 on all high, i can't see it too hard to imagine the faster next gen cards like an 8800gt getting the same fps at a smaller res but with higher options.

My 8800GTS 512 gets an average of over 30 FPS on high at 1280x1024 and so would the GT they tested, I don't see the problem

Well I played through the game at 1280x960 on a GT. It ran at playable framerates most of the time, but no way did it run as flawless as those vids seem to show - that is, not a HINT of slowdown or even the smallest loading stutter....or anything.

My 8800GT and stock E6600 ran through with no problems with everything on high @ 1280*1024... but that was just by eye, no statistics or anything...
