Keegan appointed new Newcastle manager, again.

Shocking assignment in my eyes.

It's like going back to an ex girlfriend, it's never going to be the same. You might be entertain, but you're still lead by a tactical naive gung-ho manager, who has failed at every club he has been at and I include Newcastle when they finished 2nd in was it 96-97?

Will be entertain to watch though I'm sure, I've missed his quotes and his sayings which make no sense what so ever.

I honestly can't believe not a single geordie can't see that this has disaster written all over it though... no wonder they haven't won anything for decades.... and decades...

Seriously though not just trying to wind people up, Keegan and Shearer? You'd think they'd just got Fergie and Wenger!!!

You think these two are the answer then you're deluded, Shearer isn't in his prime and playing this time round boys.

Despite the fact Keegan won the First Division and came closest to winning the Premiership than any other of our managers.

I love it how other fans say we can't attract this manager or that manager because of the state we are in, then when we hire a decent manager, he's not good enough.

The team on paper is better than a few above us, it's just a case of getting the best out of the players, which Keegan will do.

Plus, Shearer hasn't even joined yet....

Newcastle need inspiration more than clinical tactics. Big Sam was supposed to be good with the tactics and that didnt work out...

Like its already been mentioned we have gone with proven managers and none have worked.

As for whoever said Keegan managing us the first time wasnt a success is stupid considering where he brought us from.

In my view it is a risk, but out of the names mentioned none would have brought any inspiration to the team and the city like Keegan obviously could and did...

edit: Within a matter of hours the whole place lifted.. it sounds naff but you really could feel a difference on wednesday night.... there hasnt been that feeling about the place since sir bobby joined

In my view it is a risk,
Everything's a risk in football, some much more risky than others...

55% win rate, won 78, drew 30, lost 35

yea thats definitely failure

Ok, what do you expect Ramos to do for Spurs?

The big 4 have got the top of the table sewn up and following them at the moment are Villa, Everton and Citeh in the Waffer Cup spots. All I think that anyone else can expect is a team / manager who play exciting football and can get you in and around those three.

I don't see Ramos doing any different.

I'm not pulling myself round the room with nothing but a Spurs scarf on chanting Ramos name like he was the second coming though am I?

cos Spurs fans don't have the passion of the Geordie's, Ramos doesn't inspire you like Keegan does

after all this is a thread about the return of Keegan, what do you expect? us to talk about, soup, or how mediocre we're going to be for ever...sorry that's Spurs and their unfailing lack of ambition

Neither are we, and neither are any of the fans you see / hear interviewed apart from the ones that SSN deliberately pick on to blow everything out of proportion. The only reason you are hearing so much about this is because SSN and 5Live won't shut up about it.

Yes, in the whole we are happy and we think that it's going to be an improvement over what's gone before, but regardless of whatever the papers choose to print no-one thinks that he's the messiah and that this is the third coming to lead the Geordie nation to the promised land.

We're just happy because we should see some passion, commitment, excitement and entertainment; nothing more and nothing less.
