Anyone got any good tips on shortening cricket trousers. Is it better/easier to do it by hand or sowing machine. And any good tips while in the process.

Thanks a lot

Use that iron on webbing sticky miracle fix stuff, it'll be in some ripped old dusty packet right at the back of a pound shop somewhere, ask the grotty ***** woman at the desk when you go in.

Wundaweb iron-on hem adhesive tape.

I seem to recall my father using it for his cricketing whites back in the day.

Mums rock.

Indeed but I live 230 miles away from mine! Bought two pairs of indentical black trousers from Burtons a few weeks ago, 34R, but one pair was 2 inchs longer than the other! :(

Shame none of my female mates can sew, or were willing to do it!

You can use copydex adhesive solution, it's designed to be used on fabrics.

Just turn the trousers up inside the bottom of the leg to the point you want to shorten them too, then glue it inside.
