The biggest game of Spurs' season - Carling Cup semi-final *SPOILERS*

Yeh its a bit embarrassing, they just won one game.

Not really, they've got to Wembley for the first time in god knows how long. Fair play to them, may as well enjoy it.

Spurs were really up for it tonight, obviously its hard to predict but I reckon they'd have done a full strength Arsenal tonight.

It was good to see Bendtner and Gallas throwing handbags :D

Can't agree with that, the "kids" got the team there, they should at least have the chance to finish the job, more of them would have played tonight if it wasn't for injuries and ACON.

Fair play to Spurs though, they wanted it a hell of a lot more than we did and our defence was useless today!

I think everyone saw how well Spurs played at the Emirates last week, so surely if Wenger actually wanted the team to get to the final he knew he would have to field a stronger team.

Fair play if he was genuinely confident the "kids" could do it, but Spurs are a decent team and should have been taken more seriously imo.

Adebayor did well after coming on.

8 goals against Spurs now, leading Arsenal scoring is 9, and I believe a Spurs player has 12 against us, so he could well be the leading scoring in the derby game soon.

Not particularly bothered with the result. Felt the score line was flattering, every shot went in, although we created very little.

2 points, Hoyte is not a CB and was where the game was lost. Theo is not good enough. Ade is still slated by many yet he is light years better than Walcott.

im embarrased to be a gunners fan, but they did play **** but to all the spurs fans its taken you 9 years so I look forward to another 9 of beating you, but wtf was wenger thinking he should have started with fabregas and adebayor or eduardo

Yeah I think it's easy to see this 5-1 home win and forget how well Spurs played at the Emirates in front of the Arsenal fans last week.

Knowing that Spurs played so well away from home Wenger surely must have expected a big push in front of the Spurs faithful?

:D:D

Loving the comments about only beating a reserve side, bring em on as they are as rubbish as they were before (the comments not the side sadly). For saying he would stick with kids, a team starting or finishing with Gallas, Helb, Sangna, Adebayor, Silva along with players such as Denilson, Eduardo & Walcott who have premiership experience is hardly fielding an inexperianced team is it now?

5-1 is quite a way to beat that bad run and it was well well deserved.

WE ARE GOING TO WEMBLEY :D

Why? Going cracking in the league, still in FA Cup and the Champs league, yeah it's really bad isn't it! Cmon chap it's one game

He's just slating Wenger really for not playing his first team, which I totally agree with.

I know it's not his main priority, yes the league matters more, but then again a final is a final and a cup is a cup.

He's just pointing out that in reality Arsenal haven't won a single cup for 2 years and they may have just thrown away a great chance to get one.

yeah but we should have hammered our greatest rivals yeah would be nice to see us have a chance at a cup, as merton said it doesnt matter how great your football is if you dont win the silverware, and hes right, if we dont win the league then whats the point, we have a great chance and i would loathe for man u to clinch it from our mistakes, just seems like whenever we get close we choke

So happy to be a Spurs fan tonight but in the grand scheme of things I would obviously prefer to be in Arsenals position, just not tonight! Sure its only one night, one night that we have been waiting for for 9 years! Can't blame the lads doing a lap and giving something back to the fans.

We beat our arch rivals 5-1
We beat them for the first time in 9 yrs.
We outplayed them over 2 legs.
We're through to a cup final
..All after such a disasterous start to the season, what team wouldn't do a lap of honour?

Slightly embarrassing :(, ah well thought we were lucky to nick a draw in the first round so fully expected a loss but not of that magnitude.
